id=\"t1\"><\/a>UN Convention Against Transnational Organized Crime (UNTOC)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The UN Convention Against Transnational Organized Crime (UNTOC), popularly known as the <\/span><b>Palermo Convention<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, is the most comprehensive international agreement to <\/span><b>counter global criminal networks.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It was adopted in <\/span><b>2000<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with the aim of strengthening international cooperation and legal frameworks <\/span><b>against organized crime.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In March 2024, the UN General Assembly declared <\/span><b>15 November<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> as the <\/span><b>International Day for Prevention of and Fight against All Forms of Transnational Organized Crime (TOC).\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table style=\"border-collapse: collapse; width: <\/span><b>strengthen institutional capacities by providing training, technical support and other resources<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to improve the effectiveness of national
