State of Rajasthan (1997)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Ravindra Kumar Dhariwal (2021)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> recognise dignity at the workplace and support reasonable accommodation for workers.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>About The Right to Disconnect Bill 2025<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The Bill proposes company-level rules and protocols on after-hours communication.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2022 It requires <\/span><b>Employees\u2019 Welfare Committees<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for negotiation with staff.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2022 It mandates penalties for companies violating the provisions.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2022 It proposes <\/span><b>digital detox centres <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and an <\/span><b>Employees\u2019 Welfare Authority.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Right to Disconnect Around the World<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>France<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was the <\/span><b>first country to enact a formal right to disconnect law in 2017.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Belgium<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has adopted rules requiring many employers to respect employees\u2019 right to disconnect after working hours.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Argentina<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> provides a legal right to disconnect for teleworkers outside agreed working hours and during leave.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Portugal<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has passed protections that limit employers\u2019 after-hours digital contact with employees.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Australia<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is the most recent country, adding a statutory right to disconnect through changes to the Fair Work Act in 2024.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News- The Right to Disconnect Bill 2025 was recently introduced in Lok Sabha by MP Supriya Sule to promote work\u2013life balance.
