Business Remedy News<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>RECSS\u00a0captures a <strong>mix of quantitative economic indicators<\/strong> (income, consumption, savings\/borrowings, investment) and <strong>qualitative\/subjective parameters<\/strong> reflecting household sentiments of <strong>rural population<\/strong>, like expectations of future income, employment, inflation, etc.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Conducted by:<\/strong> National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (<strong>NABARD<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Origin:<\/strong> The survey has been conducted since <strong>September 2024<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Frequency:<\/strong> It is a high-frequency, <strong>bi-monthly<\/strong> assessment, making it a useful tool for near-real-time assessment of <strong>rural economic conditions<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Aim:<\/strong> It assesses <strong>backward-looking economic conditions<\/strong> and <strong>forward-looking household sentiments<\/strong> to understand <strong>rural economic shifts<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Latest survey:<\/strong> The <strong>eighth round<\/strong> of the survey <strong>(Sept 2024 \u2013 Nov 2025) <\/strong>was <strong>conducted after the GST rate rationalization<\/strong> announced on 3 September 2025.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Key Findings of the 8th RECSS (Sept 2024 \u2013 Nov 2025)<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Consumption boom:<\/strong> \u00a0A large share (<strong>about 80%) of households<\/strong> reported <strong>higher consumption<\/strong>, and around <strong>67.3% income is spent on consumption<\/strong>, showing broad-based demand.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Income growth:<\/strong> <strong>42.2%<\/strong> of households saw <strong>income growth<\/strong>, <strong>only 15.7% reported decline<\/strong>, and <strong>75.9% expect incomes to rise next year.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Higher investment:<\/strong> <strong>29.3%<\/strong> of households <strong>increased capital investment<\/strong>, the highest among any previous\u00a0 rounds, driven by <strong>higher consumption and incomes, not credit stress.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Formal credit access:<\/strong> <strong>58.3%<\/strong> of households <strong>used only formal credit<\/strong>, up from 48.7% in September 2024; <strong>informal credit forms about 20%<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Transfers and demand:<\/strong> <strong>Welfare transfers<\/strong> add about <strong>10%<\/strong> to average <strong>monthly income<\/strong> and cross <strong>20% for some households<\/strong>, supporting essential consumption.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lower inflation perception:<\/strong> <strong>Perceived inflation<\/strong> <strong>declined ( to 3.77%)<\/strong> ,and <strong>84.2%<\/strong> households expect <strong>inflation to remain low<\/strong>, improving real income and welfare.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Repayment and investment conditions:<\/strong> The <strong>income share<\/strong> used for loan repayment has <strong>declined<\/strong>, while <strong>29.3%<\/strong> of households increased capital investment.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Infrastructure and services:<\/strong> Households report <strong>high satisfaction with roads, education and electricity<\/strong>, followed by <strong>drinking water and health services.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: The eighth round of RECSS shows strong revival in rural demand, rising incomes and improved household well-being over the past year.
