Thus, both the lakes are <strong>oxbow lakes.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ramsar Site: <\/strong>It is designated as <strong>Ramsar site <\/strong>on<strong> March 22, 2021.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Vegetation: <\/strong>The Vegetation of the Sanctuary is representative of that of the <strong>indo-gangetive ecosystem. <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Fauna: <\/strong>It is home to<strong> critically endangered white<\/strong>&#8211;<strong>rumped vulture (Gyps bengalensis)<\/strong> and <strong>Indian vulture (Gyps indicus),<\/strong> and the <strong>endangered<\/strong> <strong>Egyptian vulture (Neophron percnopterus)<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Invasive species <\/strong>such as the<strong> common water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) <\/strong>is also found here.<\/li>\n<li>The sanctuary welcomes <strong>migratory birds from Central Asia and Tibet.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: The Government has declared the Parvati-Arga Bird Sanctuary of Uttar Pradesh as an Eco sensitive zone.
