AIR<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>About \u2018Make in India in Sports\u2019 Committee<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Make in India in Sports Committee<\/strong> will be <strong>responsible<\/strong> for <strong>engaging<\/strong> with Indian <strong>manufacturers, start-ups, research institutions, and testing and standardisation bodies<\/strong> to facilitate <strong>product development, trials, and certification in the concerned sport<\/strong>, thereby promoting the domestic sports manufacturing ecosystem envisaged under Make in India.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Composition:<\/strong> The Committee shall <strong>include senior Federation members, technical experts, former international athletes<\/strong>, and <strong>at least one member with experience in sports equipment or technology<\/strong>, manufacturing, or standards.<\/li>\n<li>The Committee will also <strong>prepare periodic reports<\/strong> on the adoption of <strong>indigenous solutions, highlighting progress made, constraints faced, and recommendations for consideration within the NSF,<\/strong> with specific reference to contributions towards Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>About \u2018International Relations\u2019 Committee<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>The International Relations Committee will <strong>monitor developments<\/strong> in relevant <strong>International Federations (IFs) and Continental Federations (CFs),<\/strong> including <strong>changes in competition rules<\/strong> and <strong>structures, governance frameworks, elections, and athlete-centric programmes.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Aim: <\/strong>It is <strong>aimed<\/strong> at <strong>strengthening India\u2019s international engagement in sports.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Composition: <\/strong>The Committee shall <strong>comprise senior Federation members<\/strong>, <strong>former international athletes, coaches, and subject experts<\/strong> with proven <strong>experience<\/strong> in <strong>global sports administration and diplomacy.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Functions<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Committee<\/strong> will formulate a <strong>medium-term international cooperation plan<\/strong> covering <strong>bilateral and multilateral MoUs,<\/strong> joint training camps, exchange programmes, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and <strong>opportunities for hosting international sporting<\/strong> events in <strong>India<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>It will ensure that all <strong>international engagements<\/strong> are <strong>aligned with Government of India policies<\/strong>, the <strong>Olympic Charter<\/strong>, and <strong>IF statutes<\/strong>, and adhere to principles of <strong>good governance, anti-doping compliance, and athlete safeguarding.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The Committee will <strong>strengthen collaboration<\/strong> with counterpart national federations and leading international sports research and academic institutions to secure <strong>best-in-class training opportunities<\/strong> and <strong>sports science support<\/strong> for Indian athletes.<\/li>\n<li>It will also <strong>coordinate with international federations and relevant bodies<\/strong> to ensure timely participation in <strong>bidding processes<\/strong> and <strong>share all proposals for hosting international events in India with the Ministry in advance<\/strong>, for information and, where required, prior consultation or clearance under extant guidelines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: The Ministry of Youth Affairs &amp;
