The President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE)\u00a0<\/strong>has recently visited New Delhi. Both the countries have agreed upon a range of bilateral agreements & outcomes – from defense to space & LNG. This visit holds significant importance particularly against the backdrop of growing military tension in the Gulf region.<\/p>\n

  1. Strategic Defense Partnership:<\/span><\/b> Signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) to establish a formal framework for defense industrial collaboration, cybersecurity, and joint technology development.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Space Ecosystem:<\/span><\/b> An LoI between <\/span>IN-SPACe (India)<\/span><\/b> and the <\/span>UAE Space Agency<\/span><\/b> was signed to develop joint infrastructure, including launch complexes, satellite fabrication facilities, and joint space missions.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. 10-Year LNG Deal:<\/span><\/b> A <\/span>$3 billion agreement<\/span><\/b> was signed between <\/span>HPCL and ADNOC Gas<\/span><\/b>.<\/span> The UAE will supply 0.5 million tonnes of LNG per annum to India for 10 years, starting in 2028.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Civil Nuclear Push:<\/span><\/b> Following India’s new <\/span>SHANTI Law (2025)<\/span><\/b>, both nations agreed to explore partnerships in advanced nuclear technologies, specifically focusing on <\/span>Small Modular Reactors (SMRs)<\/span><\/b> and large nuclear reactors.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Digital Embassies:<\/span><\/b> Both sides agreed to explore the establishment of “Digital\/Data Embassies” to store sovereign data across borders under mutually recognized sovereignty arrangements.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Supercomputing Cluster:<\/span><\/b> An agreement between <\/span>C-DAC (India)<\/span><\/b> and <\/span>G42 (UAE)<\/span><\/b> was reached to set up a supercomputing cluster in India as part of the AI India Mission.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Agri-Export Boost:<\/span><\/b> An MoU was signed between <\/span>APEDA (India)<\/span><\/b> and the UAE Ministry of Climate Change to streamline food safety and technical standards, facilitating easier export of Indian rice and produce.<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. House of India:<\/span><\/b> Announced the establishment of a permanent cultural space called the <\/span>‘House of India’<\/span><\/b> in Abu Dhabi to showcase Indian art and heritage.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
