{"id":354800,"date":"2026-01-27T15:50:55","date_gmt":"2026-01-27T10:20:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/?p=354800"},"modified":"2026-01-27T15:50:55","modified_gmt":"2026-01-27T10:20:55","slug":"jeevan-raksha-padak-awards-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/jeevan-raksha-padak-awards-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Jeevan Raksha Padak Awards-2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>News: <\/strong>The President of India has approved the conferment of Jeevan Raksha Padak Series of Awards \u2013 2025.<\/p>\n<h2>About Jeevan Raksha Padak Awards-2025<\/h2>\n<figure style=\"width: 404px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.insightsonindia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Jeevan-Raksha-Padak-Awards.jpg?resize=404%2C237&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Jeevan Raksha Padak Awards 2025\" width=\"404\" height=\"237\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source : Royal Patiala<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>About:<\/strong> Jeevan Raksha Padak Series of Awards are <strong>an offshoot of the Ashoka Chakra series of Gallantry awards.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Instituted in: <\/strong>1961<\/li>\n<li>The awards are <strong>given to a person for meritorious act of human nature in saving the life of a person.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Categories:<\/strong> The award is given in<strong> three categories<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak-<\/strong> for <strong>conspicuous courage in saving life<\/strong> under <strong>circumstances of very great danger to the life of the rescuer<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Uttam Jeevan Raksha Padak-<\/strong> for <strong>courage and promptitude in saving life<\/strong> under <strong>circumstances of great danger to the life of the rescuer.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Jeevan Raksha Padak-<\/strong> for <strong>courage and promptitude in saving life<\/strong> under<strong> circumstances of grave bodily injury to the rescuer.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Presented by:<\/strong> It is presented to the awardees<strong> by the respective Union Ministries\/Organizations\/State Government<\/strong> to which the awardee belongs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Eligibility:<\/strong> Persons of all walks of life are<strong> eligible for these awards.\u00a0 <\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The award <strong>can also be conferred posthumously.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Process of the award:<\/strong> Its nominations are <strong>invited annually<\/strong> from States\/UTs and Union Ministries.\n<ul>\n<li>The recommendations of the award are<strong> considered by the Awards Committee<\/strong> <strong>within a period of two calendar years<\/strong> from the date of performance of the act.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Awards Committee makes its recommendations to the Prime Minister and the President.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Awards constitute:<\/strong> A <strong>Medal, Certificate <\/strong>signed by the Union Home Minister and <strong>lump sum Monetary Allowance.<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak:<\/strong> \u20b9 2,00,000\/-<\/li>\n<li><strong>Uttam Jeevan Raksha Padak:\u00a0<\/strong> \u20b9 1,50,000\/-<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jeevan Raksha Padak:<\/strong> \u20b9 1,00,000\/-<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Details of Jeevan Raksha Padak Awards-2025: <\/strong>Jeevan Raksha Padak Awards-2025 has been conferred on<strong> 30 persons.<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak<\/strong> to <strong>06, Uttam Jeevan Raksha Padak<\/strong> to <strong>06<\/strong> and <strong>Jeevan Raksha Padak <\/strong>to <strong>18 persons.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Six<\/strong> awardees are <strong>posthumous.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: The President of India has approved the conferment of Jeevan Raksha Padak Series of Awards \u2013 2025.
