{"id":356340,"date":"2026-02-18T15:11:00","date_gmt":"2026-02-18T09:41:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/?p=356340"},"modified":"2026-02-18T15:11:00","modified_gmt":"2026-02-18T09:41:00","slug":"bodhan-ai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/bodhan-ai\/","title":{"rendered":"Bodhan AI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>News- <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced integration of AI tools in teaching, following the launch of Bodhan AI at IIT Madras.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>About Bodhan AI<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bodhan AI is a <\/span><b>not-for-profit organisation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> created <\/span><b>to build the Bharat EduAI Stack for AI-based education across all levels.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Launched by: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was launched by <\/span><b>Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> under the <\/span><b>Education Ministry.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Anchoring Institute: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is developed at the Centre of Excellence in AI for Education hosted by <\/span><b>IIT Madras.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Funding: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is <\/span><b>supported by an initial <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u20b9<\/span><b>500 crore<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> allocation announced in the Union Budget.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Aim: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It aims to make education equitable, high quality, affordable, and accessible by embedding AI to support students, teachers, and institutions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Key Initiatives<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b> Bharat EduAI Stack: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bodhan AI is developing this as Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), similar to UPI, to provide open and interoperable AI tools for large-scale educational use.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b> Target Areas: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The platform focuses on personalised student learning, AI support for teachers and parents, and data-informed institutional administration.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b> Multilingual Support: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It aims to build AI capabilities for Indian languages and dialects to ensure inclusive access.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b> Sovereign Infrastructure: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It prioritises building sovereign AI models and infrastructure aligned with India-centric educational needs.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News- Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced integration of AI tools in teaching, following the launch of Bodhan AI at IIT Madras.
