Rajagopalachari<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> led a similar movement in <\/span><b>Tamil Nadu<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and protests also occurred in <\/span><b>West Bengal<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Andhra Pradesh<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Jawaharlal Nehru <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">was arrested on <\/span><b>14 April 1930<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for breaking salt laws.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Gandhi was arrested <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">on the night of <\/span><b>4\u20135 May 1930<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><b>Leaders like Sarojini Naidu continued the movement <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">despite police brutality.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Satyagraha continued for about <\/span><b>a year until Gandhi\u2019s release from jail.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: Vice President C.P.
