The <strong>first edition <\/strong>of this initiative was<strong> launched on April 5, 2025.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Activities:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Naval personnel from partner nations <strong>will receive professional training <\/strong>at Indian naval establishments in Kochi, focusing on naval operations, seamanship, and maritime security.<\/li>\n<li>They will also embark on an Indian Naval ship<strong> for joint deployment at sea and participating in operational activities<\/strong> with Indian Navy personnel.<\/li>\n<li>It will also <strong>include maritime engagements and port visits<\/strong> for\u00a0interaction with regional navies and maritime agencies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Significance<\/strong>: It underscores <strong>India\u2019s growing role<\/strong> as a key maritime partner and its continued focus on fostering a secure, stable and cooperative maritime environment in the Indian Ocean Region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: Indian Navy has commenced the second edition of the Indian Ocean Ship (IOS) SAGAR initiative from 16th March 2026.
