It receives<strong> saline water <\/strong>from<strong> Arabian sea.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Flora:<\/strong> It hosts 12 <strong>species of mangroves and associates<\/strong> including Avicennia marina, Acanthus illicifolious and Salvadora persica etc.<\/li>\n<li><strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Fauna:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>It has more than <strong>200 species of resident and migratory birds<\/strong> including<strong> Lesser Flamingos, Greater Flamingos, <\/strong>Pied Avocet, Western Reef Heron, Black-headed Ibis, Common Redshank, Marsh Sandpiper<strong>, <\/strong>etc are found here.<\/li>\n<li>It also includes <strong>diversity of birds, reptiles, mammals, and invertebrates<\/strong> like butterflies, moths, honeybees, wasps, spiders, and benthic organisms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: Water samples from key flamingo habitats near Thane Creek\u00a0Flamingo\u00a0Sanctuary (TCFS)\u00a0showed rising toxicity, raising long-term ecological concerns.
