{"id":35978,"date":"2018-11-01T12:49:04","date_gmt":"2018-11-01T07:19:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=35978"},"modified":"2018-11-01T12:49:04","modified_gmt":"2018-11-01T07:19:04","slug":"india-rejects-oic-move-on-vigilantism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/india-rejects-oic-move-on-vigilantism\/","title":{"rendered":"India rejects OIC move on vigilantism\u00a0\u00a0:"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/todays-paper\/tp-national\/india-rejects-oic-move-on-vigilantism\/article19361119.ece\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">India rejects OIC move on vigilantism<\/span><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(India rejects OIC concern)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Context :<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">India rejected the resolutions of the <\/span><b>Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that had expressed concern about the recent attacks on people by cow-vigilante groups.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Statement by Ministry of External Affairs(MEA)<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An official statement from the MEA stated that the resolutions adopted at the Organization\u2019s latest foreign ministers\u2019 meeting were \u201cfactually incorrect\u201d.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">India notes with remorse that the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation, during its 44th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers, has again adopted certain resolutions which contain factually incorrect and misleading references to matters internal to India.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The matter included the Indian State of Jammu and Kashmir, which is an integral part of India.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The MEA added, \u201cthe OIC has no locus standi on India\u2019s internal affairs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We strongly advise the OIC to refrain from making such references in future.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>India rejects OIC move on vigilantism\u00a0\u00a0: (India rejects OIC concern) Context : India rejected the resolutions of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) that had expressed concern about the recent attacks on people by cow-vigilante groups.
