The\njudgment came on a petition filed by the film\u2019s producers.<\/li><li>The SC has also restrained the West Bengal\ngovernment from using \u201cextra-constitutional\u201d means to stop the screening of the\nfilm. It further added that the state government should ensure that the\nproperties of the theatre owners are duly protected and viewers\u2019 safety is assured.<\/li><li>The Court has observed that the petitioners have\nsuffered a violation of their fundamental right to free speech and expression\nand of their right to pursue a lawful business.<\/li><li>Article 19 (1) (a) guarantees the right to\nfreedom of speech and expression to all citizens.
