Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO).\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>This initiative is <strong>part of EPFO\u2019s broader push toward digitisation and process automation.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Aim:<\/strong>\u00a0It aims to help individuals who have<strong> lost track of their Provident Fund (PF) accounts after changing jobs.<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>It also assists users who have<strong> forgotten their member IDs<\/strong> or<strong> have not linked <\/strong>their accounts with UAN.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The initiative is intended to<strong> reduce <\/strong>the amount of <strong>unclaimed or inactive PF savings.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Features:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The porta<strong>l allows users to log in using Aadhaar-based authentication.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Users can access their accounts <strong>even if they do not have a Universal Account Number (UAN)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>After logging in, <strong>users can update their profile details<\/strong> and<strong> link old accounts to their current UAN.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rollout Plan:<\/strong> In the initial phase, the<strong> portal will provide access based on PF member IDs<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li>Users who <strong>still have their old member IDs<\/strong> will be able to use the system immediately.<\/li>\n<li>In the<strong> future phase,<\/strong> <strong>the portal will also support users who do not remember<\/strong> or have access to their member IDs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Benefits of E-PRAAPTI<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The portal is expected <strong>to reduce paperwork<\/strong> involved in PF processes and <strong>support the digitisation of PF-related services.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It will <strong>eliminate the need for users to visit EPFO offices physically<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>It <strong>will improve transparency and speed up account linking and withdrawals, <\/strong>making the system <strong>more user-driven and efficient.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table style=\"border-collapse: collapse; width: 100%;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%;\">\n<h2>About Universal Account Number (UAN)<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>UAN<\/strong> stands for <strong>Universal Account Number.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Allotted by:<\/strong> It is allotted by the <strong>Employees&#8217; Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>It is a <strong>12-digit unique number<\/strong> assigned to every employee contributing to the Employees&#8217; Provident Fund.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Objective:<\/strong> The main objective is to capture KYC details of its members<strong> to eliminate the dependency on the employer and improve the quality of service.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It acts <strong>as an umbrella for the multiple Member IDs allotted to an individual by different establishments. <\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>If a member has already been allotted the UAN,<strong> he is required to provide the same while joining a new establishment so that the new employer can link the newly allotted Member ID<\/strong> <strong>to the existing UAN.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Accessibility:<\/strong> EPFO beneficiary or the member needs to visit the <strong>UAN-based Member Portal.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Single UAN helps an EPFO beneficiary or the member <strong>to view all the PF-related details of current and previous organizations in one place.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: The Employees&#8217;
