{"id":36237,"date":"2018-11-02T11:19:45","date_gmt":"2018-11-02T05:49:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=36237"},"modified":"2018-11-02T11:19:45","modified_gmt":"2018-11-02T05:49:45","slug":"monsoon-to-cover-entire-country-this-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/monsoon-to-cover-entire-country-this-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Monsoon to cover entire country this week:\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/todays-paper\/tp-national\/monsoon-to-cover-entire-country-this-week\/article19260865.ece\"><b>Monsoon to cover entire country this week<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Country to stay under monsoon for long<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Context:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monsoon rains are expected to cover the whole country in the next week and are likely to strengthen over central India.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The concern:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Normally, the monsoon enters into a \u2018break,\u2019 or a prolonged interval of around a week in the middle of July and sometimes August.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the breaks were to last too long, it could harbinger a drought. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There the concern is that yet no indication of a break so far is being accounted.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monsoon rains are likely to advance into remaining parts of Jammu division and Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and some parts of Punjab for a long period of time, a key region that determines the fate of the monsoon.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The reason:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The risk of an El Nino, an anomalous heating of the central Pacific that\u2019s associated with weak rains over India, is low this year.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some international weather models expect it to emerge around winter but the IMD\u2019s models do not expect it to emerge until late next year.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Monsoon to cover entire country this week:\u00a0 Country to stay under monsoon for long Context: Monsoon rains are expected to cover the whole country in the next week and are likely to strengthen over central India.
