PIB<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>The Initiative has been launched <strong>under<\/strong> the <strong>framework of the India-EU Trade &amp; Technology Council (TTC) &#8211;<\/strong> <strong>Working Group 2 on Green and Clean Energy Technologies.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Aim:<\/strong> It aims to <strong>secure critical raw materials<\/strong>, accelerate the <strong>global transition to a circular economy<\/strong>, and <strong>strengthen bilateral relations<\/strong> between <strong>India and the European Union (EU).<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Funding and Implementing Agency:<\/strong> With a <strong>combined funding pool of \u20ac15.2 million (\u20b9169 crore),<\/strong> the initiative will be <strong>funded through the EU\u2019s Horizon Europe programme<\/strong>, while the <strong>Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) <\/strong>will support the <strong>Indian component<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Focus Areas of Initiative <\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The programme will focus on developing <strong>advanced recycling technologies<\/strong>, including high-efficiency material recovery, safe and <strong>digitalized collection<\/strong> systems, and <strong>pilot-scale demonstration of innovative processes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>It will support the <strong>establishment of a joint India-EU pilot line<\/strong> in India to enable <strong>real-world validation and industrial deployment<\/strong>, bringing together leading researchers, industries, and startups.<\/li>\n<li>It will focus on <strong>High Recovery Rates;
