{"id":362606,"date":"2026-05-11T16:25:16","date_gmt":"2026-05-11T10:55:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/?p=362606"},"modified":"2026-05-11T16:25:16","modified_gmt":"2026-05-11T10:55:16","slug":"national-panchayat-awards-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/national-panchayat-awards-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"National Panchayat Awards 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>News<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Recently, the government has announced the winners of the National Panchayat Awards 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>About National Panchayat Awards 2025<\/b><\/h2>\n<figure style=\"width: 461px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.newsonair.gov.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/HH386mzagAAL_n2.jpg?resize=461%2C259&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"National Panchayat Awards 2025\" width=\"461\" height=\"259\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: news on air<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The winners of the <strong>National Panchayat Awards 2025<\/strong> have been announced, with <\/span><b>42 Panchayats from across the country <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">being selected for the honours.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Conferred by:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It has been conferred by the <\/span><b>Ministry of Panchayati Raj.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Frequency:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is conferred<\/span><b> annually <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to recognize and incentivise <strong>best-performing Panchayats<\/strong> and promote inclusive, participatory, and sustainable development in rural India.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Aim:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Its aim is <\/span><b>to encourage Panchayats to improve local governance, service delivery, and progress towards Sustainable Development Goals <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">through community-led initiatives, reinforcing Panchayats\u2019 role in translating national priorities towards Viksit Bharat 2047.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The awards are being given under the<\/span><b> Incentivization of Panchayats scheme of the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Winner: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Karnataka<\/strong> has secured the <strong>highest number of awards<\/strong> with six Panchayats being selected, followed by <strong>Andhra Pradesh<\/strong> and <strong>Odisha<\/strong> with five awards each.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Categories: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The awards are being conferred under <strong>two categories &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar:\u00a0<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It recognises outstanding Gram Panchayats for their performance across themes<\/span><b> linked to Sustainable Development Goals, including poverty-free livelihoods, health, water sufficiency, sanitation, women-friendly governance and social justice.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A total of 34 Gram Panchayats from 17 States and Union Territories have been selected under this category.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Nanaji Deshmukh Sarvottam Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will be given to the best-performing Panchayats at the district, block and gram levels.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eight Panchayats have been selected under this category, including <\/span><b>three district Panchayats, two block Panchayats and three Gram Panchayats.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Prize: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The winning Panchayats <\/span><b>will receive financial incentives ranging from 50 lakh rupees to five crore rupees, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">depending on the category and tier. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: Recently, the government has announced the winners of the National Panchayat Awards 2025.
