{"id":363413,"date":"2026-05-23T13:55:12","date_gmt":"2026-05-23T08:25:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/?p=363413"},"modified":"2026-05-23T13:55:12","modified_gmt":"2026-05-23T08:25:12","slug":"shukrayaan-mission","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/shukrayaan-mission\/","title":{"rendered":"Shukrayaan mission"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"content-box-green\">\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong> ISRO and the Swedish National Space Agency signed an MoU for Sweden&#8217;s role in Shukrayaan mission during Prime Minister Narendra Modi&#8217;s Sweden visit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"red-h2-box\"><strong>About Shukrayaan mission<\/strong><\/h2>\n<figure style=\"width: 455px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/images.cnbctv18.com\/uploads\/2024\/10\/shukrayaan-1-2024-10-c682628904eda6ddced90c2dce9ed149.jpg?resize=455%2C256&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Shukrayaan mission\" width=\"455\" height=\"256\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: ISRO<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Shukrayaan mission<\/strong> is<strong> India&#8217;s first dedicated mission to Venus<\/strong> and one of ISRO\u2019s <strong>most complex planetary exploration<\/strong> projects.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Launched by:<\/strong> It will be launched by<strong> Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It will be <strong>launched on an LVM3<\/strong> into a <strong>170\u00d736,000 km Earth Parking Orbit<\/strong> in <strong>March 2028.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Aim:<\/strong> It <strong>aims<\/strong> to study <strong>Venus\u2019 dense atmosphere, volcanic surface, weather systems and mysterious super-rotating clouds.<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>It seeks<strong>\u00a0to investigate whether Venus once possessed conditions suitable for liquid water<\/strong> before evolving into an extreme greenhouse world.<\/li>\n<li>The mission also aims t<strong>o deepen the understanding of how planetary climates evolve over time.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Payloads:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li>The spacecraft will be equipped with <strong>cutting-edge instruments, such as &#8211;<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Synthetic aperture radar<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Infrared and ultraviolet cameras <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Sensors<\/strong> to study the <strong>planet\u2019s ionosphere<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>These <strong>tools<\/strong> will assist in unravelling the <strong>mysteries of Venus&#8217;s thick, carbon dioxide-rich atmosphere and investigate the potential of active volcanoes on\u00a0Venus\u2019s surface.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sweden collaboration:<\/strong> As part of the mission, Sweden\u2019s <strong>Swedish Institute of Space Physics<\/strong> will develop <strong>a scientific instrument called the Venusian Neutrals Analyser (VNA),<\/strong> which will <strong>fly aboard India\u2019s Venus orbiter<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li>The instrument is<strong> designed to study the interaction between charged particles emitted by the Sun and the atmosphere of Venus,<\/strong> one of the most scientifically intriguing aspects of the planet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: ISRO and the Swedish National Space Agency signed an MoU for Sweden&#8217;s role in Shukrayaan mission during Prime Minister Narendra Modi&#8217;s Sweden visit.
