Scheme.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"red-h2-box\">About Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme<\/h2>\n<figure style=\"width: 445px\" class=\"wp-caption scheme <\/span><\/strong>launched by the<strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> Ministry of Food Processing Industries(MOFPI).<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Nodal Ministry:<\/strong> It was launched<strong>\u00a0in 2020<\/strong> as part of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Budget outlay:<\/strong> It has a budget outlay of <strong>Rs. 10,000 crore.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Duration:<\/strong> It has been approved for<strong> implementation from 2020-21 to 2024-25 and has been extended till September 2026.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Aim:<\/strong> It aims to\n<ul>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\u25cb\" data-font=\"\" data-listid=\"4\" data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><strong>Modernize and enhance the competitiveness <\/strong>of the existing<strong> individual micr<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>o enterprises<\/strong> and ensure their <strong>transition to formal sector.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\u25cb\" data-font=\"\" data-listid=\"4\" data-aria-posinset=\"2\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Provide <strong>support to Farmer Producer Organizations<\/strong>, Self Help Groups, and Producers Cooperatives along their entire value chain.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\u25cf\" data-font=\"\" data-listid=\"4\" data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Funding Pattern: <\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The expenditure under the PM-FME scheme would be shared in<strong> 60:40 ratio between Central and State Governments, in 90:10 ratio with North Eastern and Himalayan States,<\/strong> 60:40 ratio with UTs with\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">legislature and 100% by Centre for other UTs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-leveltext=\"\u25cf\" data-font=\"\" data-listid=\"4\" data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"1\"><strong>Key Components of PMFME Scheme<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li data-section-id=\"1elrl75\" data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"196\"><strong data-start=\"2\" data-end=\"77\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Credit-Linked Subsidy for Individual Micro Food Processing Enterprises: <\/strong>A 35% subsidy (up to \u20b910 lakh) is provided to individuals for setting up or upgrading micro food processing units.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"jw49mx\" data-start=\"198\" data-end=\"494\"><strong data-start=\"200\" data-end=\"252\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Credit-Linked Subsidy for Common Infrastructure: Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs), Self Help Groups (SHGs), and similar entities are eligible<\/strong> for a 35% credit-linked subsidy (up to \u20b93 crore) to establish or upgrade common infrastructure facilities.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"sv816f\" data-start=\"496\" data-end=\"694\"><strong data-start=\"498\" data-end=\"526\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Seed Capital Assistance: <\/strong>Financial <strong>support of \u20b940,000 per SHG member<\/strong> engaged in food processing is available for working capital requirements and the purchase of small tools and equipment.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"n0nu3u\" data-start=\"696\" data-end=\"955\"><strong data-start=\"698\" data-end=\"720\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Capacity Building: Structured training programs<\/strong> are offered, including Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) training for both individual and group applicants and <strong>specialised training for SHG members<\/strong> receiving seed capital assistance.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1rryebo\" data-start=\"957\" data-end=\"1166\"><strong data-start=\"959\" data-end=\"982\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Incubation Centres: <\/strong>Support is provided for<strong> establishing and strengthening Common Incubation Centres<\/strong> that serve as local hubs for food processing, training, testing, and entrepreneurship development.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"tyuhg9\" data-start=\"1168\" data-end=\"1531\"><strong data-start=\"1170\" data-end=\"1203\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Branding &amp; Marketing Support: <\/strong>A<strong> 50% financial grant is available for branding and marketing initiatives<\/strong> for groups such as FPOs, SHGs, cooperatives, regional\/state-level SPVs, and state agencies.\n<ul>\n<li data-section-id=\"tyuhg9\" data-start=\"1168\" data-end=\"1531\">Assistance also includes<strong> trademark registration, product standardisation, packaging development, e-commerce integration, and trade promotion<\/strong> for ODOP brands.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"16ti04d\" data-start=\"1533\" data-end=\"1781\" data-is-last-node=\"\"><strong data-start=\"1535\" data-end=\"1559\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Handholding Support: Dedicated resource persons<\/strong> at the state and district levels assist applicants throughout the formalisation process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>One District One Product (ODOP):<\/strong> The scheme follows the <strong>One District One Product (ODOP)<\/strong>\u00a0approach to scale up procurement, services, and marketing.\n<ul>\n<li>States identify products, with <strong>priority on perishables such as fruits, vegetables, spices, fisheries, and traditional foods like honey and turmeric. <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Support is focused on<strong> processing, storage, branding, and reducing wastage. <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Capital investment is prioritised for ODOP units, <\/strong>and new enterprises are eligible only for ODOP products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span data-slate-node=\"text\"><strong>Coverage: <\/strong><\/span>Under the scheme, <strong>2,00,000 micro food processing units<\/strong> will be directly assisted with credit-linked subsidies.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Adequate supportive common infrastructure and institutional architecture<\/strong> will be supported to accelerate the growth of the sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Benefits:<\/strong> The program has<strong> four broad components<\/strong> addressing the needs of the sector:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Support to individuals and groups of micro-enterprises.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Branding and Marketing support.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Support for strengthening
