NASA\u2019s new revelation<\/a>:<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong><u>Context <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NASA\u2019s Earth-bound Gemini North telescope has beamed back a stunning image of Jupiter showing haze particles over a range of altitudes.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>What has happened<\/u><\/strong>?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As the Juno spacecraft orbits Jupiter, the Gemini telescope is providing high-resolution images to help guide its exploration of the giant planet.<\/li>\n<li>In addition to images captured using adaptive optics, longer wavelength filter on the telescope are used to look at cloud opacity on the planet.<\/li>\n<li>The observations trace vertical flows that cannot be measured any other way, illuminating the weather, climate and general circulation in Jupiter\u2019s atmosphere.<\/li>\n<li>Juno spacecraft was 5.5 million miles (8.9 million kilometers) from its July 4th\u00a0appointment with Jupiter. Over the past two weeks, several milestones occurred that were key to a successful 35-minute burn of its rocket motor, which will place the robotic explorer into a polar orbit around the gas giant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"638\">Details on Juno Spacecraft<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Juno\u00a0is a\u00a0NASA\u00a0space probe\u00a0orbiting the planet\u00a0Jupiter.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Juno&#8217;s\u00a0mission is to measure Jupiter&#8217;s composition,\u00a0gravity field,\u00a0magnetic field, and\u00a0polar magnetosphere. In practice, the spectrum of most types of lasers can, however, reach from a few kHz to a few MHz in width, which is not good enough for numerous experiments requiring high precision.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"638\">Einstein\u2019s General Theory of Relativity<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The observation also supports Einstein\u2019s General Theory of Relativity.<\/li>\n<li>Albert Einstein, in his theory of\u00a0special relativity, determined that the laws of physics are the same for all non-accelerating observers, and he showed that the\u00a0speed of light\u00a0within a vacuum is the same no matter the speed at which an observer travels.<\/li>\n<li>According to this theory, gravitational waves, unlike light waves, will not disperse as they travel through space.
