PBS<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>About Food Planet Prize<\/strong>\u00a0is<strong> the world\u2019s largest environmental award.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Presented by:<\/strong> It is presented annually by the <strong>Curt Bergfors Foundation in Sweden.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It <strong>rewards innovative initiatives that will improve the global food system<\/strong> within ten years while supporting a r<strong>esilient biosphere and feeding a growing world population.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The prize is given for two categories, namely:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Existing scalable solution for sustainable foods and<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Innovative initiatives that could transform the global food sector.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1qsgoci\" data-start=\"73\" data-end=\"180\"><strong>About nominations:<\/strong> Nominations are<strong> submitted through the website&#8217;s nomination form<\/strong>, which remains <strong>open throughout the year.<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li data-section-id=\"h9x9c6\" data-start=\"181\" data-end=\"348\">The nominations team <strong>evaluates each submission using publicly available information,<\/strong> considering factors such as impact, evidence, and relevance to the food system.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"urdlle\" data-start=\"400\" data-end=\"500\"><strong>Nominations may remain under consideration for multiple years<\/strong> if they continue to show potential.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"yellow-h2-box\"><strong>About 2026 Food Planet Prize<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li data-section-id=\"13cpq0p\" data-start=\"2751\" data-end=\"2811\" data-is-last-node=\"\"><strong>Winner:<\/strong> The <strong>Andhra Pradesh Community Managed Natural Farming (APCNF)<\/strong> programme won the <strong>2026 Food Planet Prize<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"13cpq0p\" data-start=\"2751\" data-end=\"2811\" data-is-last-node=\"\"><strong>Finalists:<\/strong> The other finalists, <strong>Conscious Kitchen of the United States, NoPalm Ingredients of the Netherlands and the Savanna Institute of the U.S.A<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Prize 2026:<\/strong> The prize carries an award of\u00a0<strong>1.5 million USD to the winner and 150,000 USD to each finalist.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>APCNF was recognised by the Curt Bergfors Foundation for promoting farming practices that:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Reduce dependence on synthetic inputs.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Support climate-resilient agriculture.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The competition received <strong>more than 1,000 nominations<\/strong> from around the world.<\/li>\n<li>APCNF was selected as <strong>one of four finalists<\/strong> from a <strong>longlist of 35 initiatives<\/strong> representing <strong>19 countries and six continents<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table style=\"width: 100%;
