V. Anand<\/strong> \u2013 Carnatic Music<\/li>\n<li><strong>Puru Dadheech<\/strong> \u2013 Kathak Dance<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chittaranjan Jyotishi<\/strong> \u2013 Vocal Music<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pasumarthi Rattaiah Sarma<\/strong> \u2013 Kuchipudi Dance<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sudharani Raghupathy<\/strong> \u2013 Bharatanatyam Dance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"red-h2-box\"><strong>About Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards (Akademi Puraskar)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Parent Body:<\/strong> The Awards are conferred by the<strong> Sangeet Natak Akademi.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Origin<\/strong>: The Awards were <strong>instituted in 1951 as Presidential Awards<\/strong> and <strong>later became Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards<\/strong> after the formation of the Akademi.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Categories<\/strong>: The Awards may be given in <strong>five Field of activity:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Music<\/li>\n<li>Dance<\/li>\n<li>Theatre<\/li>\n<li>Other Traditional\/Folk\/Tribal\/Dance\/Music\/Theatre and Puppetry<\/li>\n<li>Over all contribution\/ Scholarship to Performing Arts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Eligibility<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li>Akademi Puraskar are <strong>open to all regardless of nationality,<\/strong> race, caste, religion, creed, or sex.<\/li>\n<li>A person considered for the Award <strong>should ordinarily be at least 35 years of age.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>An association <strong>institution or organization is not eligible for Akademi Ratna or Akademi Puraskar (Akademi Award.)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>If a <strong>person dies after the General Council<\/strong> has taken the decision, the honour may be conferred<strong> posthumously.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nature of Honor:<\/strong> The Awards recognize sustained individual achievement of a <strong>high professional order in performing arts.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Seat Limit<\/strong>: The total number of Awards in a year <strong>shall not exceed 46.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Prize Details:<\/strong> Each awardee receives <strong>\u20b91 lakh, a Tamrapatra, an Angavastram, a citation,<\/strong> and <strong>medical insurance<\/strong> coverage up to <strong>\u20b91 lakh per annum.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Ceremony<\/strong>: The <strong>President of India\/Vice-President of India\/Prime Minister of India or any eminent personality<\/strong> in the field will be invited to confer the honours.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Recent Honorees<\/strong>: The General Council <strong>selected 108 artists for the Awards for the years 2024 and 2025.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table style=\"border-collapse: collapse; width: 100%;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%;\">\n<h2 class=\"red-h2-box\"><strong>About Sangeet Natak Akademi (SNA)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Establishment<\/strong>: The Sangeet Natak Akademi was established in <strong>1953 <\/strong>as the<strong> apex body<\/strong> dedicated <strong>to preserving and promoting India\u2019s intangible heritage in music, dance, and drama.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Creation<\/strong>: It was created through<strong> a resolution of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, in 1952<\/strong>, with <strong>P. V.
