resilience and supporting value chains in selected watersheds of participating States.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Duration of the programme: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is being <\/span><b>implemented from 2021 to 2026 in the States of Karnataka and Odisha.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Key focus areas of REWARD: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The program focuses on <\/span><b>two important result areas:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Strengthen institutions and supportive policy <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for watershed development<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Science-based watershed development <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for climate resilience and enhanced livelihoods<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Scope of program: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the central level, the scope of the REWARD program <\/span><b>covers management, monitoring, communication and knowledge sharing <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">functions by DoLR.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Funding: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It works on a <\/span><b>financial instrument called \u201cPforR\u201d (Program for Results),<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which means the World Bank will reimburse the loan amount against the achievement of Disbursement Linked Indicators (DLIs).\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The<\/span><b> funding pattern is 70:30, between the World Bank and the States, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and<\/span><b> it is 50:50 between the World Bank and the DoLR.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Expected Outcomes: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will help to<\/span><b> increase the farm productivity and income levels of the watershed community<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> through the application of modern and scientific practices in the field of watershed development.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: The National Rainfed Area Authority (NRAA), knowledge partner to the Department of Land Resources, organised the second national consultation on draft watershed management guidelines under the World Bank-supported REWARD Programme.
