means People and &#8220;OS&#8221; stands for Operating System.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is a web and mobile platform under the <a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/deendayal-antyodaya-yojana-national-rural-livelihood-mission-launches-national-campaign-sangathan-se-samriddhi-to-mobilize-10-crore-rural-women-into-self-help-groups\/\"><strong>Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-<\/strong><strong>National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM<\/strong>)<\/a> for <strong>end-to-end digitisation of Self-Help Groups and their federations.\u00a0<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>It also supports the <a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/key-interventions-for-womens-economic-advancement\/\"><strong>Lakhpati Didi<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0initiative through large-scale outreach, beneficiary tracking, and digital monitoring.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Developed by:<\/strong> It has been developed by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/digital-governance-in-india-explained-pointwise\/\">Digital India<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Nodal ministery<\/strong>: The initiative is by <strong>Ministry of Rural Development.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">It\u00a0offers a <strong>comprehensive digital solution for managing Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and Community-Based Organisations (CBOs)<\/strong> by digitising <strong>member records, profiles, savings, lending, repayments, financial transactions, livelihoods,\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>convergence initiatives.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Features:<\/strong> The key features include:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>End-to-End Digital Management: <\/strong>It registers and manages SHGs, Village Organisations (VOs), Cluster Level Federations (CLFs), and their members<strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Unique Digital IDs: <\/strong>It generates <strong>Aadhaar- and bank-linked digital identities<\/strong> for CBOs and members.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Digital Financial Records: <\/strong>It records savings, loans, repayments, and other financial transactions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Livelihood Profiling: <\/strong>It <strong>captures livelihood data<\/strong> to support planning and convergence with government schemes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Role-Based Administration: <\/strong>It <strong>enables user management, approvals, monitoring, and reporting<\/strong> from the village to the national level.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Real-Time Analytics: <\/strong>It<strong> provides dashboards and one-click reports<\/strong> for data-driven decision-making.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Compatibility:<\/strong> It comprises<strong> both web and mobile applications,<\/strong> each designed to serve distinct user groups and functionalities.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Web application:<\/strong> It supports <strong>administrators, E-bookkeepers, and transaction approvers<\/strong> in creating and <strong>approving SHGs, Village Organisations (VOs), Cluster Level Federations (CLFs), and their members.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Mobile application: <\/strong>It enables efficient recording and management of Community-Based Organisation (CBO) activities in the field by <strong>facilitating digitisation and enabling enhanced data-driven decision-making.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Benefits:\u00a0<\/strong>It <strong>strengthens governance and financial management<\/strong> by:\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>reducing manual record-keeping<\/strong> through digital records,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>enabling real-time transaction<\/strong> tracking for SHGs,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>improving transparency,<\/strong> accountability, and operational efficiency, and<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>capturing financial transactions<\/strong> amounting to \u20b92 lakh crore per year within the SHG network.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Coverage:<\/strong> It currently <strong>covers 34 States\/UTs, 762 districts, 7,241 blocks, 2.57 lakh Gram Panchayats, and 5.92 lakh villages.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: LokOS Platform has significantly expanded its reach across India, enabling large-scale digital transformation of community institutions.
