TH<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sub-Orbital Launch Vehicle for Experiments (SOLVE) platform<\/strong>\u00a0is a <strong>solid motor-based<\/strong> test platform developed to<strong> conduct Integrated Parachute Tests<\/strong> for validating the <strong>deceleration system of the Gaganyaan Crew Module. <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Developed by:<\/strong> It is developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation<strong> (ISRO).<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Objective<\/strong>: To carry out <strong>Integrated Parachute Tests for validating the deceleration system of the Gaganyaan Crew Module<\/strong> under various test conditions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Key Features:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Testing Process:<\/strong> During the test missions, the <strong>crew module<\/strong> is carried to an <strong>altitude of 10\u201317 km<\/strong> and <strong>separated<\/strong> from the vehicle.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Recovery System:<\/strong> A series of <strong>10 parachutes is deployed to reduce the crew module&#8217;s velocity<\/strong> before splashdown in the sea.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Platform Design:<\/strong> The solid stage is derived from the<strong> Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) Strap-on Motor with modifications<\/strong> to meet the Gaganyaan test requirements.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Technical Modifications:<\/strong> It includes a <strong>slow burn rate propellant<\/strong> and a <strong>straight nozzle with secondary injection thrust vector control.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong> Recent Tests Related to the Gaganyaan Mission:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Second Integrated Air Drop Test (IADT-02):<\/strong>\u00a0ISRO successfully conducted the <strong>second<\/strong> Integrated Air Drop Test as part of preparations for the Gaganyaan mission (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/integrated-air-drop-test-iadt-1\/\">IADT-01<\/a><\/strong>).<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/mission-mitra\/\">Mission MITRA<\/a>:<\/strong> ISRO carried out <strong>Mission MITRA (Mapping of Interoperable Traits and Response Assessment)<\/strong> in Leh <strong>to study the behaviour and response of astronauts under mission conditions<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table style=\"border-collapse: collapse; width: 100%;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%;\">\n<h2 class=\"red-h2-box\"><strong>About Gaganyaan Mission<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Gaganyaan<\/strong> is <strong>ISRO\u2019s first human spaceflight programme<\/strong> to demonstrate indigenous human spaceflight capability.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Objective:<\/strong>\u00a0The mission <strong>aims to send three Indian astronauts to Low Earth Orbit (about 400 km) for a 3-day mission<\/strong> and bring them safely back to Earth.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Payloads:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Crew Module<\/strong>: It is the spacecraft that carries human beings.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Service Module<\/strong>: It supports the Crew Module and is powered by liquid propellant engines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mission Components:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Unmanned Missions<\/strong>: The programme includes <strong>two unmanned missions<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Manned Mission<\/strong>: It includes <strong>one manned mission<\/strong> to send <strong>three Indian astronauts to Low Earth Orbit (about 400 km) for a 3-day mission and ensure their safe return to Earth<span style=\"font-family: var(--global--font-secondary);
