{"id":367043,"date":"2026-07-09T15:10:39","date_gmt":"2026-07-09T09:40:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/?p=367043"},"modified":"2026-07-09T15:10:39","modified_gmt":"2026-07-09T09:40:39","slug":"green-investment-and-finance-and-technology-gift-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/green-investment-and-finance-and-technology-gift-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"Green Investment and Finance and Technology (GIFT) Scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"content-box-green\">\n<p><b>News:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) is strengthening support for sustainable manufacturing through its Green Investment and Finance and Technology (GIFT) Scheme.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"red-h2-box\"><b>About Green Investment and Finance and Technology (GIFT) Scheme<\/b><\/h2>\n<figure style=\"width: 351px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pbs.twimg.com\/media\/GsbNB5MaEAAWM3l.jpg?resize=351%2C351&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Green Investment and Finance and Technology (GIFT) Scheme\" width=\"351\" height=\"351\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: Ministry of MSME<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a<\/span><b> sub scheme under the <a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/ramp-programme-and-trade-enablement-and-access-to-market-team-initiative\/\">RAMP Programme<\/a>.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Launched by:<\/strong> It has been launched by <\/span><b>Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Implementing Agency:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Its implementing agency is<\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/small-industries-development-bank-of-india-sidbi\/\"> Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI)<\/a>.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Aim:<\/strong> It aimed at <\/span><b>helping MSMEs transition to greener energy and cleaner production processes.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Objective: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To provide <strong>support to the MSMEs<\/strong> in accessing <strong>institutional finance<\/strong> at a concessional rate for <strong>adopting clean \/ green technologies<\/strong> and help them to transform into green and sustainable business operations.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Duration:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The scheme is for the <\/span><b>duration of 3 years (FY 2023-24 to 2025-26).<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Eligibility:\u00a0<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MSME registered under the <strong>U<\/strong><\/span><b>dyam Registration portal are eligible.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Member Lending Institution (MLIs):<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Scheduled commercial bank\/ All India Financial<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Institution including <\/span><b>SIDBI, Small Finance Banks\/ Micro Finance Institutions\/<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Non-Banking Finance Companies<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> can become a Member Lending Institution (MLI).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Components of the scheme: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0The Scheme has c<\/span><b>omponents of Interest Subvention and Risk sharing.<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Interest Subvention: Interest subvention of 2% per annum, for period of 5 years<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, up to a term loan limit of INR 2 crores for Micro and Small enterprises.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Risk sharing:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Loans to MSEs up to INR 2 crore would be covered under this component. <\/span><b>Rs 125 crores will be used to provide credit guarantee to the participating Member Lending Institutions (MLIs) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(75% of guaranteed coverage for eligible loans). <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) is strengthening support for sustainable manufacturing through its Green Investment and Finance and Technology (GIFT) Scheme.
