News:<\/strong> The Government of India has reaffirmed its commitment to expanding educational opportunities for students belonging to the Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC) and Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNT) through the\u00a0PM-YASASVI (Prime Minister Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India)\u00a0umbrella scheme.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

About<\/strong><\/td>\nPM YASASVI is a Scholarship scheme<\/strong> for Other Backward Class (OBCs<\/strong>), Economically Backward Class (EBC<\/strong>) and Denotified Nomadic Tribes (DNT<\/strong>) Students<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Concerned Ministry<\/strong><\/td>\nMinistry of Social Justice and Empowerment<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Objective<\/strong><\/td>\nTo provide financial assistance<\/strong> to the OBC, EBC and DNT students studying at post-matriculation or post-secondary stage<\/strong> to help them complete their education.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Eligibility<\/strong><\/td>\n\n
    \n
  • Applicant students<\/strong> must be a permanent resident of India<\/strong> to get benefits under the PM Yashasvi Scheme.<\/li>\n
  • Candidate students should belong to<\/strong> any one of OBC, EBC, DNT SAR, NT or SNT community.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Only students studying<\/strong> in class 9 or class 11<\/strong> will be considered eligible<\/strong> to get this scholarship.<\/li>\n
  • The family annual income<\/strong> of the applicant students should be maximum 2.5 lakh rupees<\/strong> to get this scholarship.<\/li>\n
  • Students of all genders<\/strong> will be eligible to get the benefits under PM Yashasvi Scheme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Benefits<\/strong><\/td>\n\n

  • Financial assistance<\/strong> of Rs. 75,000 per year<\/strong> is provided to the eligible students of class IX<\/strong> in the form of scholarship.<\/li>\n
  • An amount of Rs. 1,25,000 per year<\/strong> is provided to the students of class 11th<\/strong> as financial assistance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Selection<\/strong><\/td>\n\n

  • To get the benefits of this scheme, the candidate students have to pass the computer based entrance test<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Testing Agency<\/strong><\/td>\n\n
    \n
  • National Testing Agency (NTA)<\/strong> has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the YASASVI ENTRANCE TEST<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Sub-scheme<\/strong><\/td>\nThere are five sub-Schemes<\/strong> under the Scheme –
