companies with ethical and animal-friendly business practices.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The index<strong> includes companies that do not intentionally engage in activities that harm animals<\/strong> during the course of their business operations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Launched by: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The index has been launched by <\/span><b>NSE Indices<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a subsidiary of the <\/span><b>National Stock Exchange (NSE)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Developed by: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has been developed in collaboration with the <\/span><b>Ahimsagain Foundation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> using its <\/span><b>Ahimsa Investment Movement (AIM) Framework<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Framework: <\/b>It is based on t<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">he <\/span><b>Ahimsa Investment Movement (AIM) Framework.<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It has been developed by the <\/span><b>Ahimsagain Foundation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, evaluates listed companies on the basis of their products, services, and business practices.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The framework determines whether companies comply with the principles of <\/span><b>non-violence (Ahimsa)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Company Classification: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Ahimsagain Foundation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> classifies companies into <\/span><b>Green, Orange, and Red<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> categories.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only companies classified under the <\/span><b>Green<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> category are eligible for inclusion in the index.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Companies classified under the <\/span><b>Orange<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>Red<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> categories are excluded from the index.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Eligibility Criteria<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only stocks that are part of the <\/span><b>Nifty 500 Index<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at the time of review are eligible for inclusion.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eligible companies are selected from the <\/span><b>Green<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> category in accordance <\/span><b>with the prescribed index methodology.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Weightage Methodology<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The weight of each stock in the index is determined on the basis of its <\/span><b>free-float market capitalization<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Base Date and Base Value: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The index has a <\/span><b>base date of 1 April 2016<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and a <\/span><b>base value of 1000<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Review Frequency: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The composition of the index is reviewed <\/span><b>semi-annually<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with reviews conducted in <\/span><b>March and September<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Companies included: The Nifty 500 Ahimsa Index comprises 326 stocks across a diverse set of sectors.\n<ul>\n<li>Automobile and auto components account for the<strong> largest share at 13.05 per cent, followed by capital goods (12.20 per cent), information technology (11.80 per cent) and financial services (10.35 per cent). <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Other sectors represented in the index include <strong>metals and mining, telecommunication, power, oil, gas and consumable fuels, construction materials, consumer durables, healthcare, and service<\/strong>s, among others.<\/li>\n<li>The top constituents by weight are <strong>Bharti Airtel, Infosys, Mahindra &amp; Mahindra Ltd, Tata Consultancy Services, Maruti Suzuki India,<\/strong> NTPC, BSE, Tata Steel, Hindalco Industries and Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone.\n<div
