class=\"red-h2-box\"><b>About Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP)<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<figure style=\"width: 418px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" the <\/span><b>sub-scheme<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> under <\/span><b>the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) programme <\/b><b>.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Launched: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was launched in<\/span><b> 2016.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Nodal Ministry: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ministry of Rural Development<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Objective: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The objective is <\/span><b>to help the rural poor come out of poverty<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by helping them set up enterprises and provide support till the enterprises stabilize.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Implementation:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is implemented through <\/span><b>State Rural Livelihoods Missions (SRLMs), with Block Resource Centres\u2013Enterprise Promotion (BRC-EPs) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">coordinating implementation at the block level.<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Community Resource Persons\u2013Enterprise Promotion (CRP-EPs)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> provide handholding support, business mentoring and credit facilitation to entrepreneurs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">S<\/span><b>HGs and their federations <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">identify potential beneficiaries and monitor enterprise performance.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Features<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Holistic Enterprise Development:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> SVEP combines <\/span><b>financial assistance, entrepreneurship training, mentoring, institutional support, and access to formal credit,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> enabling rural entrepreneurs to establish and sustain their enterprises.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Community-Led Implementation: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme <\/span><b>follows a community-led implementation model<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in which local community institutions identify beneficiaries based on their entrepreneurial potential, livelihood needs, and poverty status.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Financial Assistance and Credit Access: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selected entrepreneurs receive financial assistance through the <\/span><b>Community Enterprise Fund (CEF)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and bank credit, along with continuous mentoring and capacity-building support.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Convergence with Government Schemes: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SVEP facilitates convergence with government initiatives, including the <\/span><b>Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, to improve access to institutional finance.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Inclusive and Gender-Focused Approach: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The programme ensures that at least <\/span><b>60% of beneficiaries are women<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> while providing adequate representation to <\/span><b>persons with disabilities (PwDs), Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and minority communities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Institutional Framework: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SVEP operates through <\/span><b>a well-defined institutional framework<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> involving government agencies, financial institutions, and community organizations <\/span><b>to ensure effective implementation, financial inclusion, and the long-term sustainability of rural enterprises.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Financial Support for Enterprise Development: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each implementation block receives <\/span><b>financial assistance of \u20b96.50 crore<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with an <\/span><b>average investment of \u20b927,083 per enterprise<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to support the establishment and growth of rural businesses.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Community Resource Persons (CRP-EPs): <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CRP-EPs are jointly selected by <\/span><b>State Rural Livelihood Missions (SRLMs)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and implementing agencies after training and certification providing <\/span><b>continuous support in business planning, financial management, market linkages, and enterprise growth.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Technology-Driven Monitoring<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: SVEP integrates digital tools for business planning, loan appraisal, and enterprise tracking.
