CA Mantra<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>About: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The EHTP Scheme is a <\/span><b>100% export-oriented scheme.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Aim: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is <\/span><b>to promote exports of electronic hardware from India <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and STPI has been providing Statutory Services on a<\/span><b> single-window Clearance System<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> under EHTP Scheme.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Nodal Ministry<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: The nodal ministry for the Scheme is the<\/span><b> Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Implemented by: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is implemented via <strong>single-window statutory services<\/strong> provided by<\/span><b> Software Technology Parks of India (STPI).<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is <\/span><b>no fund allocation <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">under the EHTP scheme.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Activities undertaken: Units established under EHTP Scheme may carry out the following activities:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manufacture any item of electronic hardware for export.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manufacture of both hardware and software in an integrated manner for exports.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">R&amp;D activity, maintenance, testing and calibration services for electronics products meant for exports.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">EHTP units may import all types of goods, including capital goods free of duty as defined in the Export Import (EXIM) Policy, required by it for manufacture, services, production and processing or in connection therewith.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>units shall also be permitted to import goods<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, including capital goods, free of cost or on loan from clients required for the approved activity.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">EHTP units may procure<strong> goods required by them for manufacture, services, production and processing or in connection<\/strong> therewith, duty free, from bonded warehouses.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Simplified minimum export performance norms i.e. \u201cPositive Net Foreign Exchange Earnings\u201d.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Measures Undertaken under the scheme:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Following measures have been taken to promote investment and expand participation under the EHTP Scheme:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Automation of Statutory Services: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For<strong> providing seamless services to the EHTP units,<\/strong> STPI has automated statutory services through digital platform, its approval and final intimation to them. This has ensured speedy delivery of services to the satisfaction of the industry.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Simplification of Import Procedures:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The <strong>earlier practice of case-to-case import permissions<\/strong> has been replaced with blanket import permissions for the financial year concerned.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Promotion and Industry Outreach: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Regular<strong> stakeholder consultations, awareness programmes, industry interactions, and participation<\/strong> in trade events are organised to create awareness about the EHTP Scheme and encourage new investments.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Performance: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The number of Electronics Hardware Technology Park (EHTP) units in India has<\/span><b> increased to 79, with exports surpassing \u20b911,100 crore in FY 2025\u201326.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: The Electronics Hardware Technology Parks (EHTP) scheme has strengthened India\u2019s Export-Oriented Electronics Manufacturing Ecosystem.\u00a0 About Electronics Hardware Technology Parks (EHTP) Scheme About: The EHTP Scheme is a 100% export-oriented scheme.
