Radhakrishnan, has released the \u201cMission Rangeen Machhli 2031\u201d Strategic Action Plan for Ornamental Fisheries Development at Agatti, Lakshadweep.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"red-h2-box\">About Mission Rangeen Machhli 2031<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_370733\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-370733\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-370733\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/forumias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Source-PIB-5.jpg?resize=300%2C190&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Mission Rangeen Machhli 2031\" width=\"300\" height=\"190\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/forumias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Source-PIB-5.jpg?resize=300%2C190&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/forumias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Source-PIB-5.jpg?w=427&amp;ssl=1 427w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-370733\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source &#8211; PIB<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mission Rangeen Machhli 2031<\/strong>\u00a0is a <strong>Strategic Action Plan<\/strong> for <strong>Ornamental Fisheries Development<\/strong> aimed at <strong>organising India\u2019s ornamental fisheries sector.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Nodal Ministry:<\/strong> It is being organized by the <strong>Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry &amp; Dairying,<\/strong> Government of India.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Objective:<\/strong> Its objective is to <strong>provide a uniform and scientific framework<\/strong> for <strong>managing ornamental fisheries<\/strong> and <strong>improving production, product quality, biosecurity, certification and market access.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Key Features:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Uniform framework:<\/strong> It will <strong>establish common practices for scientific management, biosecurity, quality assurance<\/strong> and <strong>regulatory compliance across the ornamental fisheries value chain.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Standardised practices:<\/strong> Standard Operating Procedures will <strong>cover broodstock management, breeding, hatchery operations, quarantine, fish health, traceability, handling, transportation and trade.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Better market opportunities:<\/strong> The plan will <strong>improve product quality and biosecurity standards<\/strong>, while supporting certification and access to domestic and international markets.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sustainable growth:<\/strong> It will <strong>support an organised and globally competitive ornamental fisheries sector<\/strong>, creating <strong>livelihood opportunities<\/strong> while <strong>conserving marine ecosystems.<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>India\u2019s fisheries sector <strong>supports about 50 lakh fishers<\/strong> and <strong>exported seafood worth \u20b973,890 crore in FY 2025-26.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: India\u2019s Vice President, C.
