Its focus should remain on <strong>science, technology and social development<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 class=\"yellow-h2-box\"><strong>Way Forward<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>ISRO should adopt a <strong>clear and transparent policy<\/strong> defining its future role alongside private players.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Core scientific and technological capabilities<\/strong> of ISRO should be protected while commercial activities can increasingly involve the private sector.<\/li>\n<li>The government should provide clarity on <strong>recruitment, staffing and outsourcing<\/strong> to address employee concerns.<\/li>\n<li>India should promote private participation while ensuring that the space sector contributes to <strong>development, employment, innovation and export earnings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Need to preserve ISRO\u2019s core role: While private participation is important, ISRO must ensure that its foundational role of using space technology for social and national development is not weakened.<\/li>\n<li>Developmental potential: By 2035, India\u2019s space sector can become a source of export earnings, value-added services and employment, while absorbing skilled labour.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Conclusion<\/strong>: India\u2019s space sector must balance <strong>ambitious exploration with developmental objectives<\/strong>.
