initiative<\/strong> is an initiative to create an <\/span><b>one-acre urban forest at Lodhi Colony Park in Central Delhi <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">using the <\/span><b>Japanese Miyawaki technique.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Aim: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It aims<\/span> at promoting <b>urban ecological restoration and expanding green cover<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the national capital.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Launched by: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was launched in collaboration with the<\/span><b> New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).<\/b><\/li>\n<li><strong>Developed by:<\/strong> It has been developed by <strong>India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (IIFCL)<\/strong> under its corporate social responsibility initiative and is <strong>being implemented by the Enviro Creators Foundation.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><b>Framework: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was developed <\/span><b>under the \u2018Viksit Bharat Sankalp\u2019 framework<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and involved<strong> the participation of school students and NDMC members.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Features:<\/b>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It would <\/span><b>develop a dense green forest area<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the heart of Delhi using indigenous plants suited to the local environment.\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The space will<\/span><b> also provide residents with facilities for walking, meditation and yoga.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b><a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/ek-ped-maa-ke-naam-campaign\/\">Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam\u2019 initiative<\/a> would also be taken up<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at the site, with team members and schoolchildren planting and nurturing trees.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table style=\"border-style: forest<\/strong> is a <strong>small, dense micro-forest<\/strong> made mainly from native trees, shrubs, and plants.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Japanese botanist <strong>Akira Miyawaki<\/strong> developed the method in the 1970s.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is designed to create <strong>green spaces<\/strong> <strong>quickly<\/strong>, especially on degraded or abandoned land.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Miyawaki method is considered an <strong>effective way to create forest cover<\/strong> in a short period.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this project, the plantation uses <strong>76 different native and climate-adapted species<\/strong>, including fruit-bearing trees, shrubs, flowering plants, and large trees that will eventually provide
