{"id":372187,"date":"2026-09-19T18:01:17","date_gmt":"2026-09-19T12:31:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/?p=372187"},"modified":"2026-09-19T18:01:17","modified_gmt":"2026-09-19T12:31:17","slug":"deen-dayal-upadhyaya-grameen-kaushalya-yojana-ddu-gky-2-0","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/deen-dayal-upadhyaya-grameen-kaushalya-yojana-ddu-gky-2-0\/","title":{"rendered":"Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) 2.0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"content-box-green\">\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong> The Ministry of Rural Development will commence DDU-GKY 2.0 training batches across most States and Union Territories from October 2026.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"red-h2-box\">About Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) 2.0<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_372203\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-372203\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-372203\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/forumias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Source-PIB-2.jpg?resize=300%2C288&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) 2.0\" width=\"300\" height=\"288\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/forumias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Source-PIB-2.jpg?resize=300%2C288&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/forumias.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Source-PIB-2.jpg?w=522&amp;ssl=1 522w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-372203\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source &#8211; PIB<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>DDU-GKY 2.0<\/strong> provides <strong>placement-linked skill training<\/strong> to <strong>poor rural youth.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Origin: <a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/deen-dayal-upadhyaya-grameen-kaushalaya-yojanaddu-gky\/\">DDU-GKY<\/a> <\/strong>was launched in <strong>2014<\/strong> by the <strong>Ministry of Rural Development.<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>DDU-GKY 2.0 is its second edition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Type of Scheme:<\/strong> It is a <strong>Centrally Sponsored Scheme.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Part of:<\/strong> It is part of the <strong>National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM).<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Eligibility:<\/strong> <strong>Rural youth aged 15\u201335 years<\/strong> are eligible.\n<ul>\n<li>While Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), women, Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) can be covered up to<strong> 45 years.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Social Coverage:<\/strong> The scheme mandates coverage of<strong> 50% SC\/ST, 15% minorities and 33% women.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Training Duration:<\/strong> The duration of skill <strong>training ranges from 3 to 12 months, depending on the course.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Key Features of DDU-GKY 2.0<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Targets have been allocated to <strong>all 31 participating States and Union Territories <\/strong>for the 2026\u201328 period.<\/li>\n<li><strong>5.6 lakh rural youth targets across more than 1,200 projects<\/strong> have been <strong>allocated by 24 States and Union Territories,<\/strong> while other States are at advanced stages of allocation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Digital Portal:<\/strong> The <strong>integrated portal<\/strong> supports the <strong>end-to-end project lifecycle, digital monitoring, transparency and greater efficiency.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Online Payments:<\/strong> Integration with <strong>State Treasury Portals<\/strong> will <strong>facilitate online payments through the Grameen Kaushal Portal.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Regional Workshops:<\/strong> Hybrid workshops will be <strong>organised at Shillong, Vijayawada, Mumbai and Dharamshala <\/strong>during October 2026 <strong>to familiarise Project Implementing Agencies<\/strong> with the digital platform.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: The Ministry of Rural Development will commence DDU-GKY 2.0 training batches across most States and Union Territories from October 2026.
