Women\/Transgender Green e-Auto (DURGA) scheme to provide safe and dignified self-employment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"red-h2-box\">About DURGA scheme<\/h2>\n<figure style=\"width: 288px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com\/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTVl5KZxKM5eVwEFXwygoIKvrKpdw8E4Yn2TreZ5lxMdQ&amp;s=10\" data-end=\"259\"><strong data-start=\"68\" data-end=\"151\">DURGA (Driving Upliftment and Rozgar for Women\/Transgender Green e-Auto) Scheme<\/strong> aims to provide <strong data-start=\"614\" data-end=\"668\">safe, clean and dignified employment opportunities<\/strong> to women and transgender persons.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"sdieb\" data-start=\"31\" data-end=\"259\"><strong>Launched by:<\/strong> It is an initiative by the <strong>Delhi Government<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Objective:<\/strong> It also seeks to <strong>promote women\u2019s safety, greater participation of transgender persons<\/strong> in the<strong> transport sector, last-mile connectivity and clean and sustainable urban transport.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"sdieb\" data-start=\"31\" data-end=\"259\"><strong>Eligibility: <\/strong>Women applicants must be <strong data-start=\"875\" data-end=\"900\">20 to 40 years <\/strong>of age, <strong>residents of Delhi<\/strong>, and must possess a <strong data-start=\"941\" data-end=\"994\">valid Voter ID, Light Motor Vehicle driving licence and Public Service Vehicle Badge.<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>A woman with <strong data-start=\"1012\" data-end=\"1040\">more than three children<\/strong> will <strong>not be eligible<\/strong> for the scheme.<\/li>\n<li>The applicant or her family must <strong>not own<\/strong> any <strong data-start=\"1126\" data-end=\"1175\">registered transport vehicle or three-wheeler<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The applicant&#8217;s <strong data-start=\"1196\" data-end=\"1255\">family income during FY 2025\u201326 must not exceed \u20b95 lakh<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Transgender applicants must submit a <strong data-start=\"1297\" data-end=\"1373\">valid transgender certificate issued by the District Magistrate&#8217;s office<\/strong> and<strong> must fulfil the other prescribed eligibility conditions<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants will be <strong>able to apply through a dedicated online portal<\/strong> to be created for the scheme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"sdieb\" data-start=\"31\" data-end=\"259\"><strong>Key Features:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li data-section-id=\"q0xu0o\" data-start=\"261\" data-end=\"393\">In the first phase, <strong data-start=\"283\" data-end=\"312\">1,300 pink electric autos<\/strong> will be provided, including <strong data-start=\"341\" data-end=\"392\">1,170 for women and 130 for transgender persons<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li data-section-id=\"2x048f\" data-start=\"395\" data-end=\"499\">Each district will be allocated up to <strong data-start=\"435\" data-end=\"498\">90 e-autos for women and 10 e-autos for transgender persons.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"jk8hga\" data-start=\"1436\" data-end=\"1564\">The e-autos will have a <strong data-start=\"1462\" data-end=\"1501\">mandatory three-year lock-in period<\/strong>, during which they cannot be sold, transferred or disposed of.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"mo90gc\" data-start=\"1566\" data-end=\"1690\">The e-autos will carry <strong data-start=\"1591\" data-end=\"1645\">DURGA branding and special identification features<\/strong> so that passengers can easily identify them.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"mfhgtg\" data-start=\"1692\" data-end=\"1784\">The scheme also provides for <strong data-start=\"1723\" data-end=\"1783\">integration of e-autos with the public transport network<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"hcczse\" data-start=\"1786\" data-end=\"1950\" data-is-last-node=\"\"><strong data-start=\"1788\" data-end=\"1898\">Electric vehicle charging facilities are already available in the parking areas of 70 Delhi Metro stations<\/strong>, which will
