border-collapse: collapse; border-style: solid;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%;\">\n<h2 class=\"yellow-h2-box\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>UNEP Cool Coalition<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is a global platform <strong>for sustainable cooling<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Launched in :<\/strong> It was <strong>launched in 2019<\/strong> as a <strong>flagship initiative<\/strong> of the <strong>UN Secretary-General\u2019s Climate Action Summit.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Multi-Stakeholder Network:<\/strong> It brings <strong>together over 250 actors, including governments, businesses, cities and financial institutions<\/strong>, to promote efficient and climate-friendly cooling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"yellow-h2-box\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Global Cooling Pledge<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>It is the <strong>world\u2019s first collective global commitment<\/strong> to <strong>reduce the climate impact of cooling.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Launched At:<\/strong> It was <strong>launched at COP28 in 2023.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Emission and Efficiency Targets:<\/strong> It aims to <strong>reduce cooling-related emissions by at least 68% below 2022 levels by 2050<\/strong> and increase the <strong>efficiency of new air-conditioners by 50% by 2030.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Global Cooling Pledge Assembly 2026 announced<\/strong> a <strong>package of new measures<\/strong> to accelerate action on sustainable cooling and heat resilience.\n<ul>\n<li><strong data-start=\"542\" data-end=\"566\">Cool Leaders Awards:<\/strong> It recognizes outstanding leadership in <strong data-start=\"607\" data-end=\"650\">sustainable cooling and heat resilience<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1416\" data-end=\"1563\"><strong>Global Roadmap on Heat Resilience: <\/strong>It provides a framework to <strong>help countries build resilience to extreme heat and protect essential services.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1564\" data-end=\"1720\"><strong>Nature for Cooling Challenge:<\/strong> It supports the <strong>use of nature-based solutions, such as urban forests, parks and green roofs, to tackle extreme heat.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1721\" data-end=\"1916\"><strong>Manufacturing Platform:<\/strong> It brings together <strong>governments and manufacturers<\/strong> to increase the <strong>availability of efficient cooling equipment and promote low- and ultra-low-GWP refrigerants.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News: The inaugural Cool Leaders Awards were launched at the Global Cooling Pledge Assembly 2026 in Singapore to recognise leadership in sustainable cooling.
