ResearchGate<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Location:<\/strong> The <strong>Nameri Tiger Reserve<\/strong> is located in the <strong>northern part of Sonitpur district, Assam.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Borders:<\/strong> It shares its northern boundary with<strong> Pakke Tiger Reserve and Doimara Reserve Forest in Arunachal Pradesh.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Established:<\/strong> It was <strong>declared a national park in 1998<\/strong> and <strong>notified as a tiger reserve in 2000.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Compositions:<\/strong> It is comprised of-\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Two protected areas &#8211;<\/strong>\u00a0 <strong>Nameri National Park and Sonai-Rupai Wildlife Sanctuary,<\/strong> and<\/li>\n<li><strong>Two reserve forests &#8211;<\/strong>\u00a0 <strong>Naduar Reserve Forest and Balipara Reserve Forest.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Area :<\/strong> It covers<strong> 464 sq. km<\/strong>, including a <strong>core area of 320 sq. km<\/strong> and a <strong>buffer area of 144 sq. km.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Major Rivers: <\/strong>The <strong>Jia-Bhoroli <\/strong>is the main river flowing through the reserve.\n<ul>\n<li>Its tributaries include the <strong>Diji, Dinai, Doigurung, Nameri, Dikorai and Khari. <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The river is known for the <strong>Golden Mahseer, a fish<\/strong> popularly <strong>called the \u201cTiger of Indian rivers.\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vegetation:<\/strong> The reserve has <strong>tropical evergreen, semi-evergreen and moist deciduous forests<\/strong>, along with <strong>cane brakes and grasslands.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Flora:<\/strong> Important plant species include <strong>Hollong, Nahor, Simul, orchids and medicinal plants.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Fauna:<\/strong> The reserve is home to the <strong>Royal Bengal tiger, leopard, clouded leopard, wild dog and Asian elephant.<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>It is also known for the <strong>White-winged Wood Duck.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"red-h2-box\">About Conservation Assured | Tiger Standards (CA|TS) Framework<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Conservation Assured | Tiger Standards (CA|TS) Framework<\/strong>\u00a0is a globally recognized<strong> certification <\/strong>system that <strong>assesses the effectiveness of tiger conservation areas and promotes good management practices.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Launching:<\/strong> The framework was launched at the<strong> first Asian Parks Congress in Japan in 2013.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Implemented by:<\/strong> The <strong>Global Tiger Forum (GTF) <\/strong>has supported its adoption and implementation across tiger landscapes.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Aim:<\/strong> Its aim is to <strong>secure safe habitats<\/strong> where wild tigers can <strong>live, breed and recover without threats.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Structure:<\/strong> The CA|TS framework consists of <strong>seven pillars and 17 core elements,<\/strong> <strong>divided into two groups:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>5 Conservation Assured (CA) Pillars:<\/strong> These five pillars <strong>cover<\/strong> <strong>general aspects<\/strong> of conservation area management <strong>&#8211;<\/strong> <strong>importance and status, management, community, tourism (optional) and protection.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>2 Tiger Standards (TS) Pillars:<\/strong> These two pillars <strong>focus <\/strong>specifically on<strong> tiger conservation &#8211;
