{"id":4122,"date":"2019-04-25T11:25:32","date_gmt":"2019-04-25T05:55:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/factly.forumias.com\/?p=4122"},"modified":"2019-04-25T11:25:32","modified_gmt":"2019-04-25T05:55:32","slug":"10-pakistan-based-terrorists-had-role-in-cross-loc-trade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/10-pakistan-based-terrorists-had-role-in-cross-loc-trade\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201810 Pakistan-based terrorists had role in cross-LoC trade\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li> Government sources have said that 10 Pakistan-based terrorists have been found misusing cross-Line of Control (LoC) trade between Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).<\/li><li>Recently, the Indian government had suspended the Cross-LoC trade with Pakistan citing a) illegal trade of U.S.-origin California almonds, b) funnelling of counterfeit currency, and c) funding and promotion of terror groups and anti-India operations though the trade.<\/li><li>The Line of Control (LoC) is 740km long India-Pakistan border which runs from parts of Jammu to parts of Leh.<\/li><li>India and Pakistan agreed to initiate trade across LoC in 2008 as a confidence building measures<\/li><li>The trade took place through two Trade Facilitation Centres located at Uri\u2019s Salamabad in Baramulla, and Chakkan-da-Bagh in Poonch.<\/li><li>The trade facilitated exchange of goods of common use between local populations across the LoC in Jammu &amp; Kashmir.<\/li><li>The trade took place four days a week.
