APMCs levy multiple fees of substantial magnitude that are non-transparent and hence a source of political power.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fruits and vegetables are kept outside the purview of NAM<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Barriers hampering interstate transfer of agricultural commodities also have to be removed.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>Measures to address the same:<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">as long as fruits and vegetables are kept outside the purview of NAM, the volatility in prices would continue, thus depriving farmers from getting better prices.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Barriers hampering interstate transfer of agricultural commodities also have to be removed.
