Samples collected from a state-run duck breeding centre had tested positive of avian influenza (Bird flu)<\/li>\n<li>Bird flu is a highly infectious, severe respiratory disease in birds. It is caused by H5N1 virus, a subtype of the influenza A virus. Human infections with avian influenza occur through infected bird-to-human contact or contact with surfaces and objects contaminated by their droppings.<\/li>\n<li>Human-human transmission is limited.
