In case of non-individual enterprises at\n least 51% of the shareholding and controlling stake should be held by\n either an SC\/ST or woman entrepreneur.<\/li><li>The Finance Minister also said that the\n Government proposes to streamline multiple labour laws into a set of four\n labour codes which will ensure the standardisation and streamlining of the\n process of registration and filing of returns.<\/li><li>Finance Minister also said that through\n the&nbsp;<strong>Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), <\/strong>the\n Government has enabled about 10 million youth to take up industry-relevant\n skills training.<\/li><li>She also added that focus shall be given\n to new-age skills like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things,\n Big Data, 3D Printing, Virtual Reality and Robotics which are valued\n highly both within and outside the country and offer much higher\n remuneration.<\/li><li>The Finance Minister also said that\n under&nbsp;<strong>Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Protsahan Yojana (PMRPY), <\/strong>the\n Government contribution to the Pension Scheme has been increased from 8%\n in 2016-17 to 12% for both Employees Provident Fund and Employees Pension\n Scheme for all sectors.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pib.nic.in\/newsite\/PrintRelease.aspx?relid=191272\">Budget Briefs: Education<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Finance minister has announced that an amount\n of Rs. 400 crore has been provided for FY 2019-20 to create \u201c<strong>World\n Class Institutions\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;in the field of education.<\/li><li>She said that five years ago there were no\n Indian institutes featuring in the Top 200 of the QS World University\n Rankings. However, now three institutes feature in the list.<\/li><li>To achieve the objectives of research and\n innovation, the Finance Minister has announced setting up of a&nbsp;<strong>National\n Research Foundation (NRF)&nbsp;<\/strong>to fund, coordinate and promote\n research in the country.<\/li><li>NRF will ensure that the overall research\n ecosystem in the country is strengthened with focus on identified thrust\n areas relevant to our national priorities and towards basic science\n without duplication of effort and expenditure.<\/li><li>She also announced the programme&nbsp;<strong>\u2018Study\n in India\u2019,<\/strong>&nbsp;that will focus on bringing foreign students to study\n in our higher educational institutions.<\/li><li>The Finance Minister also disclosed that a\n draft legislation for setting up&nbsp;<strong>Higher Education Commission of\n India (HECI)&nbsp;<\/strong>would be presented in the year ahead. This will help\n to comprehensively reform the regulatory system of higher education to\n promote greater autonomy and focus on better academic outcomes.<\/li><li>The minister also said the&nbsp;<strong>Khelo\n India Scheme&nbsp;<\/strong>will be expanded to provide all necessary financial\n support and a National Sports Education Board for Development of\n Sportspersons would be set up under Khelo India Scheme to popularize\n sports at all levels.<\/li><li>The minister also said that Massive online\n open courses through the&nbsp;<strong>SWAYAM<\/strong>&nbsp;initiative have helped\n bridge the digital divide for disadvantaged section of the student\n community.<\/li><li>The minister said that&nbsp;<strong>Global\n Initiative of Academic Networks (GIAN)<\/strong>&nbsp;programme in higher\n education was started to up-grade the quality of teaching. It was aimed at\n tapping the global pool of scientists and researchers.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/business\/budget\/budget-2019-20-rbi-can-supersede-nbfc-board\/article28298886.ece\">Budget\nBriefs: RBI can supersede NBFC board<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The government has decided to strengthen\n regulatory authority of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) over non-banking\n financial companies (NBFCs).<\/li><li>Finance Minister has said that the RBI\n will now be the regulator of&nbsp;<strong>Housing finance companies (HFC)&nbsp;<\/strong>replacing\n the National Housing Bank (NHB).<\/li><li>According to the Finance Bill, 2019, RBI\n can now remove the director of an NBFC and even supersede its board in the\n public interest or to prevent the affairs of NBFC being conducted in a\n manner detrimental to the interests of depositors or creditors.<\/li><li>Another proposed amendment to the RBI Act\n will allow RBI to frame schemes for amalgamating, splitting and\n reconstructing an NBFC if it feels it is required after looking into the\n NBFCs books of account.<\/li><li>This decision was taken after RBI had\n called for greater surveillance on large entities in India\u2019s NBFC as their\n failure could lead to losses that are similar to those of big banks.<\/li><li>Further, NBFCs have seen their source of\n funds suddenly dry up after a series of defaults by Infrastructure Leasing\n &amp; Financial Services(ILFS) that has triggered a liquidity crisis.<\/li><li>The minister has also proposed to set up\n an&nbsp;<strong>Expert Committee<\/strong>&nbsp;to study the current situation\n relating to long-term finance and our past experience with development\n finance institutions.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pib.nic.in\/PressReleaseIframePage.aspx?PRID=1577365\">Budget\nBriefs:Taxation<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Corporate Tax<\/strong>: The lower rate of 25 % Corporate Tax\n will be extended to all companies with annual turnover up to Rs. 400\n crore. Currently, this rate is only applicable to companies having annual\n turnover up to Rs. 250 crore. This will cover 99.3 percent of the\n companies.<\/li><li><strong>Pre-filing of Income-tax Returns<\/strong>: Pre-filled tax returns will be made\n available to taxpayers which will contain details of salary income, capital\n gains from securities, bank interests, dividends and tax deductions.<\/li><li><strong>Encourage Digital Payments<\/strong>: To promote digital payments, the Budget\n proposes to levy TDS of 2 percent on cash withdrawal exceeding Rs. 1 crore\n in a year from a bank account.<\/li><li>The low-cost digital modes of payment such\n as BHIM UPI, UPI-QR Code etc. will promote less cash economy. The business\n establishments with annual turnover more than Rs. 50 crore shall offer\n such low cost digital modes of payment to their customers and no charges\n or Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) shall be imposed on customers as well as\n merchants.<\/li><li><strong>Faceless e-assessment to eliminate\n undesirable practices: <\/strong>The\n existing system of scrutiny assessments in the IT Department involves a\n high level of personal interaction between the taxpayer and the\n Department, which leads to certain undesirable practices on the part of\n tax officials.<\/li><li>To eliminate such instances a scheme of\n faceless assessment in electronic mode involving no human interface is\n being launched this year in a phased manner.<\/li><li><strong>PAN \u2013 Aadhaar Interchangeability<\/strong>: The Budget also proposes to make PAN and\n Aadhaar interchangeable and allow those who do not have PAN to file Income\n Tax Returns by simply quoting their Aadhaar number and also use it\n wherever they are required to quote PAN.<\/li><li><strong>GST processes are being further simplified<\/strong>: The threshold exemption limit for a\n supplier of goods is proposed to be enhanced from Rs. 20 lakhs to an\n amount exceeding Rs. 40 lakhs.<\/li><li><strong>Sabka Vishwas Legacy Dispute Resolution\n Scheme: <\/strong>The budget proposes\n this as a dispute resolution-cum-amnesty scheme to allow quick closure of\n huge pending litigations from pre-GST regime.<\/li><li>The relief under the scheme varies from 40\n percent to 70 percent of the tax due for cases other than voluntary\n disclosure cases depending on the amount of tax dues involved.<\/li><li>The&nbsp;<strong>effective tax rates<\/strong>&nbsp;for\n the higher income group individuals having taxable income from Rs. 2 crore\n to Rs.5 crore and 5 crore and above is proposed to be increased by around\n 3 percent and 7 percent &nbsp;respectively.<\/li><li>The budget proposes to give relief in levy\n of&nbsp;<strong>Securities Transaction Tax (STT)<\/strong>&nbsp;by restricting it\n only to the difference between settlement and strike price in case of\n exercise of options. STTis a tax levied at the time of\n purchase and sale of securities listed on stock exchanges in India.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/business\/budget\/budget-2019-20-growth-capital-for-public-sector-banks\/article28299324.ece\">Budget\nBriefs: Growth capital for public sector banks<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Finance Minister in the Budget 2019 speech\n has announced that the public sector banks (PSBs) will be provided with a\n capital infusion of Rs 70,000 crore.<\/li><li>This bank recapitalisation is aimed at\n bolstering the capital base of the state-owned banks. It will also give a\n much-needed boost to the stressed banks who are under pressure owing to\n the rising Non-Performing assets (NPAs).<\/li><li>This 70,000 crore recapitalisation amount\n is a small part of Rs 2.11 lakh crore that the government plans to give to\n the banking sector in the next few years.<\/li><li>Further, the finance minister has also\n said that Indian banking sector saw Rs 1 lakh crore of NPA resolution and\n recovery of Rs 4 lakh crore through the Insolvency and Bankruptcy\n Code(IBC) mechanism in the last four years.<\/li><li>The Finance Minister also noted that six\n PSU banks have already been brought out of the Prompt Corrective Action (PCA)\n framework.<\/li><li><strong>PCA<\/strong>&nbsp;is a process or mechanism to ensure that banks don\u2019t go bust.\n Under it, RBI will put in place certain risk thresholds to assess, monitor,\n control and take corrective actions on banks which are weak and troubled.<\/li><li>The minister has also said that the\n government had earlier initiated governance reforms in the banks like\n splitting the Chairman and Managing Director\u2019s post and forming a Banks\n Board Bureau (BBB) for board level appointments.<\/li><li><strong>BBB<\/strong>&nbsp;is an autonomous body of the Government of India. It is\n tasked to (a)improve the governance of Public Sector Banks (b) recommend selection\n of chiefs of government owned banks and financial institutions and (c) to\n help banks in developing strategies and capital raising plans.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/business\/budget\/budget-2019-20-a-shot-in-the-arm-for-struggling-msmes\/article28299229.ece\">Budget\nBriefs: A shot in the arm for struggling MSMEs<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Presenting the Budget 2019-20, the finance\n minister has unveiled a slew of initiatives and new provisions to tackle\n issues related to the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises(MSME) sector in\n the country.<\/li><li>The Finance Minister has announced that Rs\n 350 Crore will be allocated for 2% interest subvention for all GST\n registered MSMEs on fresh and incremental loans.<\/li><li>The government has introduced a scheme for\n providing loans up to \u20b91 crore within 59 minutes through a dedicated\n online portal.<\/li><li>The Government has also announced to\n create a payment platform for MSMEs to enable filing of bills and payment\n on the platform itself to eliminate delays in government payments.<\/li><li>Under the scheme named&nbsp;<strong>Pradhan\n Mantri Karam Yogi Maandhan Scheme<\/strong>,the government will extend pension\n benefits to about three crore retail traders and small shopkeepers whose\n annual turnover is less than \u20b91.5 crore. Enrolment will be kept simple\n requiring only Aadhaar and a bank account.<\/li><li>Under the&nbsp;<strong>Scheme of Fund for\n Upgradation and Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI),<\/strong>100\n new clusters will be set up during 2019-20,enabling 50,000 artisans to\n join the economic value chain.<\/li><li>SFURTI aims to set up Common Facility\n Centres (CFCs) to facilitate cluster-based development to make traditional\n industries more productive, profitable and capable for generating\n sustained employment opportunities. Focused sectors are Bamboo, Honey and\n Khadi clusters.<\/li><li>Further,10,000 new Farmer Producer\n Organizations are proposed to be formed to ensure economies of scale for\n farmers, under the&nbsp;<strong>Scheme for Promotion of Innovation, Rural\n Industry and Entrepreneurship\u2019 (ASPIRE).<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/business\/budget\/fiscal-deficit-target-revised-downwards-to-33\/article28299894.ece\">Budget\nBriefs: Fiscal deficit target revised downwards to 3.3%<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Finance Minister has announced the fiscal\n deficit target for 2019-20 at 3.3% of GDP from 3.4% set in the Interim\n Budget presented on February 1, 2019.<\/li><li><strong>Fiscal deficit<\/strong>&nbsp;is the amount of money that the\n government needs to borrow in a given year because their expenses were\n more than their revenues.<\/li><li>The main reason for decrease in fiscal\n deficit target is that there was an increase on the revenue side while\n expenditure is being controlled.<\/li><li>To achieve the fiscal deficit target, the\n government is relying on (a) disinvestment income (b) higher taxes on the\n rich and (c) increased excise duties on petrol, diesel, precious metals\n and tobacco products.<\/li><li>The government has budgeted a higher\n disinvestment target for 2019-20 of \u20b91.05 lakh crore compared to the\n \u20b980,000 crore budgeted in the previous year. <strong>Disinvestment<\/strong>&nbsp;is\n defined as the action of an organisation or government selling or\n liquidating an asset or subsidiary.<\/li><li>Apart from this, the government has\n budgeted a dividend from the Reserve Bank of India amounting to about\n \u20b990,000 crore.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pib.nic.in\/newsite\/PrintRelease.aspx?relid=191297\">Budget Briefs: Policy\nMeasures to promote Growth and Employment Generation in Indian Economy<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Tax Policy\nMeasures in the direction of Growth and Employment generation are:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Profit-linked deduction was introduced for\n start-ups.<\/li><li>The scope of investment-linked deduction\n was broadened by including certain new sectors including infrastructure\n which are critical to growth.<\/li><li>Investment allowance and higher additional\n depreciation was provided for undertakings set up in backward regions of\n states of Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Telangana and West Bengal.<\/li><li>Incentive for employment generation was\n broadened and the conditions for eligibility to claim the incentive were\n relaxed.<\/li><li>Benefit was provided for computation of\n MAT liability and carry forward of loss for companies under Insolvency and\n Bankruptcy code (IBC).<\/li><li>Safe Harbour provisions were further\n liberalised to align with industry standards.<\/li><li>Scope of domestic transfer pricing\n provisions was restricted only for transactions between enterprises having\n profit-linked deductions.<\/li><li>Pass through status was provided to\n Category I &amp; II Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs).<\/li><li>The time period for carry forward of MAT\n credit was increased from 10 to 15 years.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehindu.com\/business\/budget\/tax-break-to-rev-up-electric-vehicle-sales\/article28298483.ece\">Budget\nBriefs: Tax break to rev up electric vehicle sales<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Government has proposed a slew of\n measures to boost electric vehicles(EVs).<\/li><li>The government has already moved to the\n Goods and Services tax (GST) council to lower the GST rate on electric\n vehicles from 12% to 5%.<\/li><li>Besides, the government will also give an\n additional tax benefit of Rs 1.5 lakh on the interest paid on loans taken\n for the purchase of EVs. This &nbsp;amounts to a benefit of around Rs 2.5\n lakh over the loan period to the taxpayers who take loans to purchase\n electric vehicles.<\/li><li>Finance Minister has also allocated Rs\n 10,000 crore to the&nbsp;<strong>Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric\n Vehicles (FAME II)&nbsp;<\/strong>scheme for faster adoption of electric\n vehicles. The scheme will be implemented over a period of three years with\n effect from 1st April 2019.<\/li><li>The main objectives of the scheme are a)\n encourage faster adoption of Electric and hybrid vehicle by way of\n offering upfront Incentive on purchase of Electric vehicles and b)\n establish necessary charging Infrastructure for electric vehicles.<\/li><li>The FAME II is an expanded version of FAME\n I, launched in 2015 which aimed to support hybrid\/electric vehicles market\n development and Manufacturing ecosystem.<\/li><li>The FAME scheme is part of the National\n Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP).It aims to achieve national fuel\n security by promoting hybrid and electric vehicles in the country.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pib.nic.in\/newsite\/PrintRelease.aspx?relid=191282\">Budget\nBriefs:India to move towards harnessing its space capability commercially,New\nSpace India Limited (NSIL) incorporated towards this end<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Finance minister has said that&nbsp;<strong>New\n Space India Limited (NSIL)<\/strong>&nbsp;has been incorporated as a new\n commercial arm of the Department of Space.<\/li><li>The Company will spearhead\n commercialization of various space products including production of launch\n vehicles, transfer of technologies and marketing of space products.<\/li><li>The new company will be licensed by the\n DoS\/ Isro, which will in turn sub-license the technology and products to\n industries. The role of this new company will be different from Antrix, Isro\u2019s\n commercial arm as the latter is only involved in commercial launches of\n foreign satellites.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pib.nic.in\/newsite\/PrintRelease.aspx?relid=191277\">Budget Briefs: Government\nto encourage and facilitate role of women in India\u2019s growth story<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The government has proposed to expand the\n women self help groups (SHGs) interest subvention programme to all\n districts.<\/li><li>The minister has proposed that for every\n verified women Self Help Group (SHG) member,having a Jan Dhan Bank Account\n an overdraft of Rs.5,000 will be allowed.<\/li><li>One woman in every SHG will also be made\n eligible for a loan up to Rs. 1 lakh under the MUDRA Scheme.<\/li><li>The minister has said that Government has\n supported and encouraged women entrepreneurship through various schemes\n such as MUDRA, Stand UP India and the Self Help Group (SHG) movement.<\/li><li><strong>Self-Help Groups (SHGs)<\/strong>&nbsp;are informal associations of people\n who choose to come together to find ways to improve their living\n conditions.<\/li><li>It can be defined as self governed, peer\n controlled information group of people with similar socio-economic\n background and having a desire to collectively perform common purpose.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pib.nic.in\/newsite\/PrintRelease.aspx?relid=191275\">Budget\nBriefs:Government to bring greater ease of living through technology<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Finance minister has said that the\n government aims to bring greater ease of living in the lives of its\n citizens.<\/li><li>This can be achieved through the use of\n technology as digital payments are gaining acceptance everywhere including\n by the Government.<\/li><li>The Finance Minister also said that about\n 30 lakh workers have joined the&nbsp;<strong>Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan.\n <\/strong>The Scheme aims at providing Rs 3,000 per month as pension on\n attaining the age of 60 to crores of workers in unorganized and informal\n sectors. &nbsp;<\/li><li>The Finance Minister also said that around\n 35 crore LED bulbs have been distributed under&nbsp;<strong>UJALA Yojana<\/strong>&nbsp;leading\n to cost saving of Rs. 18,341 crore annually.<\/li><li>The main objective of the Ujala scheme is\n to promote efficient lighting, enhance awareness on using efficient\n equipment which reduces electricity bills and helps in preserving the\n environment.<\/li><li>The Electricity Distribution Company and\n Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) is a public body which is\n implementing the programme.<\/li><li>Further, the minister also said that\n Government will launch a massive programme of&nbsp;<strong>railway station\n modernization<\/strong>&nbsp;this year to make railway travel a pleasant and\n satisfying experience for the common citizen.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pib.nic.in\/newsite\/PrintRelease.aspx?relid=191291\">Budget Briefs: Government\nproposes measures to deepen Corporate Debt markets.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Finance minister has said that the\n government will work with the Reserve Bank of India(RBI) and Securities\n and Exchange Board of India(SEBI) to deepen the corporate debt market with\n a special focus on infrastructure.<\/li><li>The minister also announced that a&nbsp;<strong>Credit\n Guarantee Enhancement Corporation<\/strong>&nbsp;will be set up in the current\n fiscal year as part of the measures to deepen the bond market.<\/li><li>Currently, the government runs a Credit\n Guarantee Fund Scheme for Micro and Small Enterprises to make available\n collateral free credit to these small firms.<\/li><li>A trust under the scheme was set up in\n association with the Small Industries Development Bank of India (Sidbi)\n and guarantees loans up to \u20b91 crore. Guarantees offered by the trust allow\n small and medium enterprises to borrow at cheaper rates.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pib.nic.in\/newsite\/PrintRelease.aspx?relid=191288\">Budget Briefs: Government\nproposes creation of a social stock exchange<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Finance Minister has announced the setting\n up of a&nbsp;<strong>Social Stock Exchange (SSE)&nbsp;<\/strong>under the Securities\n and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for listing of organisations which work\n for social welfare.<\/li><li>The minister said that the exchange would\n help social and voluntary organisations which work for social causes to\n raise capital as equity or debt or a unit of mutual fund.<\/li><li>The minister said this will be to take the\n capital markets closer to masses and meet the various social welfare\n objectives related to inclusive growth and financial inclusion.<\/li><li>Social Stock Exchanges(SSE) already exist\n in countries such as Singapore, UK among others. Wherever\n necessary patents and geographical indicators, will be obtained for them.<\/li><li>She has also proposed that the&nbsp;<strong>IDEAS\n scheme<\/strong>&nbsp;will be revamped during the current financial year. Indian\n Development Assistance Scheme (IDEAS) provides concessional financing for\n projects and contributes to infrastructure development and capacity\n building in the recipient developing countries.<\/li><li>The minister also said that Government is\n developing<strong>&nbsp;17 iconic tourism sites&nbsp;<\/strong>into world class\n tourist destinations which will serve as a model for other tourism sites. These\n sites would enhance visitor experience which will lead to increase visits\n of both domestic and international tourists at these destination.<\/li><li>The minister has also announced that with\n the objective of preserving rich tribal cultural heritage, a&nbsp;<strong>digital\n repository i<\/strong>s being developed where documents, folk songs, photos and\n videos regarding their evolution, place of origin, lifestyle, architecture,\n education level, traditional art, folk dances and other anthropological\n details of the tribes in India will be stored. The repository will be\n further enriched and strengthened.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pib.nic.in\/newsite\/PrintRelease.aspx?relid=191285\">Budget Briefs:\nForeign Direct Investment (FDI)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Finance Minister has said that Foreign\n Direct Investment (FDI) inflows into India have remained robust despite\n global headwinds.<\/li><li>She stated that according to UNCTAD\u2019s\n World Investment Report 2019. &nbsp;India\u2019s FDI inflows in 2018-19\n remained strong at US$ 64.375 billion marking a 6% growth over the\n previous year.<\/li><li>She has also proposed a 100% foreign\n direct investment (FDI) in the insurance intermediaries in the Union\n Budget 2019.The FDI limit is set at 49% currently.<\/li><li><strong>Insurance intermediaries<\/strong>&nbsp;are the backbone of the industry. They\n help in distribution of insurance policies and also help customers get\n attractive rates for the products.<\/li><li>Further, the Government will also examine\n suggestions of further opening up of FDI in aviation, media (animation,\n AVGC) and insurance sectors in consultation with all stakeholders.<\/li><li>The minister has said local sourcing norms\n will be eased for FDI in Single Brand Retail sector.<\/li><li><strong>Single brand retail&nbsp;<\/strong>are expected to sell all its products\n under only one label across its stores such as Think Levi\u2019s, Starbucks or\n Ikea. Out of the total\n amount,75,000 crore rupees will be for the&nbsp;<strong>Pradhan Mantri Kisan\n Samman Nidhi<\/strong>.<\/li><li>The government has also proposed setting\n up of 10,000 new Farmer Producer Organisations(FPOs) to ensure economies\n of scale for farmers over the next five years.<\/li><li>The government will also work with state\n governments to see that farmers get a fair price through electronic\n National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) that was launched in 2016.<\/li><li>The finance minister also announced a\n proposal of&nbsp;<strong>zero budget farming .<\/strong>Zero budget farming is a set\n of farming methods that involve zero credit for growing agricultural\n produce and no use of chemical fertilizers.<\/li><li>The minister has also said that farmers\n should be encouraged to adopt dairying by creating infrastructure for\n cattle feed manufacturing, milk procurement, processing and marketing.
