These include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Threats to Vulture\nPopulation in India<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Diclofenac: Feeding on cattle carcass with\n contaminated vetnary drug diclofenac has led to fatality among vulture\n population.<\/li><li>Habitat loss<\/li><li>Low food availability<\/li><li>Infectious diseases<\/li><li>Environmental pollution<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Conservation\nEfforts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare\n has&nbsp;<strong>prohibited the manufacture of Diclofenac<\/strong>&nbsp;for animal\n use in 2008 and has also restricted packaging of multi-dose vials of\n Diclofenac to single dose for humans.<\/li><li>The central government has formulated\n a&nbsp;<strong>National Action Plan (2006) on Vulture Conservatio<\/strong>n. The\n Action Plan provides for strategies, actions for containing the decline of\n vulture population through ex-situ, in-situ vulture conservation.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Bombay Natural History Society in\n collaboration with the Haryana State Forest Department has set up Vulture\n Conservation and Breeding Centres (VCBC) in Pinjore. A \u2018<strong>Vulture Captive\n Care facility\u2019<\/strong>&nbsp;has been established at Panchkula.<\/li><li>Vulture Breeding Facilities have been set\n up Rani, Guwahati (Assam), Buxa (West Bengal), Pinjore (Haryana) and\n Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Breeding facilities at Zoos at Bhopal,\n Bhubaneswar, Junagarh and Hyderabad have also been set up through Central\n Zoo Authority.<\/li><li>Vulture Safe Zones: It is an area\n designated as natural habitats of vultures. The area is made free of\n diclofenac contaminated carcasses. It aims to sustain and increase vulture\n populations. Sentinelese are a negrito tribe who\n live on the North Sentinel Island of the Andaman.<\/li><li>Based on carbon dating by the\n Anthropological Survey of India, Sentinelese presence was confirmed in the\n islands to 2,000 years ago.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Demography<\/strong>:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Sentinelese are hunter-gatherers,\n likely using bows and Indian Army.<\/li><li>India had procured T-90 from Russia in\n 2001 and deliveries started in 2004.<\/li><li>The tank is equipped with a new turret\n weapon station with an upgraded 125mm gun.&nbsp;<\/li><li>The tanks also sport an advanced and\n highly automated digital fire control system(FCS) to annihilate enemy\n tanks, self-propelled guns and other armoured objective of the DAC is to ensure\n expeditious procurement of the approved requirements of the Armed Forces,\n in terms of capabilities sought and time frame prescribed by optimally\n utilizing the
