Toubro (L&amp;T) at its Kattupalli ship\n building yard in Chennai.<\/li><li>The name \u2018Varaha\u2019 is taken from Puranas\n who was the third incarnation of Lord Vishnu which took the form of Boar\n to protect mother earth by carrying her out of the sea on his tusks.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Features:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The ship is fitted with the latest\n navigation and communication equipment.<\/li><li>The vessel also has some of the most\n advanced sensors and machinery.It also has the capability of carrying\n pollution response equipment to contain oil spill at sea.<\/li><li>The ship\u2019s special features include the\n integrated Bridge System, Automated Power Management System and\n indigenously built Integrated Platform Management System and Halo\n Traversing System.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Additional\ninformation:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About ICG:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Indian Coast Guard is a multi-mission\n organization entrusted with superintendence and policing of India\u2019s\n maritime areas including the Exclusive Economic Zone.<\/li><li>ICG was formally established in 1978 by\n the Coast Guard Act,1978 as an independent Armed force of India.It\n operates under the Ministry of Defence.<\/li><li>The organization is headed by the Director\n General Indian Coast Guard (DGICG).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pib.gov.in\/newsite\/PrintRelease.aspx?relid=193409\">\u2018TB Harega\nDesh Jeetega\u2019 Campaign<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong>Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare\nhas launched the \u2018TB Harega Desh Jeetega Campaign\u2019 along with the National TB\nPrevalence Survey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Harega Desh\nJeetega Campaign:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The campaign aims to improve and expand\n the reach of Tuberculosis care services across the country by 2022.<\/li><li>The three strong pillars of the campaign\n include (a)clinical approach, (b)public health component and (c)active\n community participation.<\/li><li>There are some other supporting aspects of\n the campaign including patient support, private sector engagement,\n political and administrative commitment at all levels.<\/li><li>The government will also ensure that all\n patients at private or public hospitals receive free-of-cost and\n high-quality TB care.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>National TB\nPrevalence Survey:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Union Health Minister has also flagged off\n a van for the National TB Prevalence Survey.<\/li><li>In all,25 such vans will be part of the\n prevalence survey, which will go to 625 clusters of the country and check\n for TB. This sample survey is to be completed by 2020.<\/li><li>This shall present national and state\n level data which will be used as a policy tool for further launched the\n Nikshay Poshan Yojana, a direct benefit transfer (DBT) scheme to provide\n nutritional support to TB patients.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Under the scheme,TB patients have been\n receiving Rs. 500 per month for the entire duration of treatment.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tuberculosis:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Tuberculosis(TB) is an infectious airborne\n bacterial disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis.It most commonly\n affects the lungs but can also damage other parts of the body.<\/li><li>TB kills an estimated 4.8 lakh Indians\n every year and more than 1,400 every day.India has the highest TB burden\n in the world and also has more than a million \u2018missing\u2019 cases every year\n that are not notified.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a Vallabhbhai Patel.<\/li><li>It will be the highest civilian award in\n India in the field of contribution to the unity and integrity of\n India.&nbsp;<\/li><li>The award seeks to recognise notable and\n inspiring contributions to promote the cause of national unity and\n integrity and to reinforce the value of a strong and united India<\/li><li>The award will be announced annually on\n the occasion of the National Unity Day which is the birth anniversary of\n Sardar Patel on 31st October.<\/li><li>An award committee would be constituted by\n the Prime Minister which would include the Cabinet Secretary, Principal\n Secretary to the PM, Secretary to the President, Home Secretary as Members\n and three-four eminent persons.<\/li><li>The Award would consist of a medal and a\n citation.No monetary grant or cash award would be attached to this Award.<\/li><li>Further, not more than three Awards would\n be given in a year.It would also not be conferred posthumously except 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>National water\nmission award:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The water mission awards is an initiative\n of National Water Mission (NWM), Department of Water Resources, River\n Development &amp; Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry of Jal Shakti.<\/li><li>The award seeks to recognize excellence in\n water conservation, efficient water use and sustainable water management\n practices.<\/li><li>The awards are given in ten categories\n defined under five goals of National water mission(NWM).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>National water\nmission:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The National water mission is one of the\n eight missions launched under the to be forgotten\u2019 fight with France<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong>European Union\u2019s(EU) top court has ruled that\nthe right to be forgotten online does not extend beyond the borders of the\nEuropean Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Background:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The ruling came on a dispute between\n Google and the French privacy regulator CNIL which in 2015 had asked\n Google to globally remove links to pages containing damaging or false\n information about a person.<\/li><li>However,the court has now ruled that the\n Google only needs to remove links from its search results in Europe and\n not elsewhere after receiving an appropriate request.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Right to be\nforgotten:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The right to be forgotten has been in\n practice in Argentina and the European Union since 2006.<\/li><li>The rule allows for the lawful removal of\n personal information of an individual if such request is made.<\/li><li>The right is seen as significant in these\n jurisdictions as it can determine the development of their life in an\n autonomous way without being stigmatised as a consequence of a specific\n action performed in the past.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Right to be\nforgotten vs Right to privacy:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The right to be forgotten is distinct from\n the right to privacy because the right to privacy constitutes information\n that is not publicly known.<\/li><li>But the right to be forgotten involves\n removing information that was publicly known at a certain time and not\n allowing third parties to access the information.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Right to be\nforgotten in India:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>India has no legal provision neither in\n the Information Technology (IT) Act 2000 (amended in 2008) or the IT\n Rules, 2011 related to Right to be forgotten.<\/li><li>However,the Karnataka High Court had\n recently upheld a woman\u2019s \u2018right to be forgotten\u2019.<\/li><li>The judgment stated that this is in line\n with the trend in western countries of the \u2018right to be forgotten\u2019 in\n sensitive cases involving women in general and highly sensitive cases\n involving rape or affecting the modesty and reputation of the person\n concerned.<\/li><li>Further,the Delhi High Court in another\n case had asked whether the right to privacy included the right to delink\n from the Internet the irrelevant information from the Centre and Google.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a communication campaigns to build\n awareness including electoral laws and other related instructions.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Social Media platforms have created a high\n priority dedicated grievance redressal channel for taking expeditions\n action on the cases reported by the Election Commission of\n India(ECI).&nbsp;<\/li><li>Social Media Platforms and ECI have also\n developed a notification mechanism by this ECI can notify the relevant\n platforms of potential violations of Section 126 of the R.P.
