It is 75km long and 2 to 8km wide.<\/li><li>The glacier lies just northeast of Point\n NJ9842 where the Line of Control between India and Pakistan ends.<\/li><li>The Siachen has been an important bone of\n contention between India and Pakistan since 1984 when the Indian Army\n launched Operation Meghdoot to take control of the entire Siachen glacier.<\/li><li>The glacier\u2019s melting waters are the main\n source of the Nubra River in the Indian region of Ladakh which drains into\n the Shyok River.The Shyok in turn joins the Indus River which flows\n through Pakistan.<\/li><li>The highest are\n under trial prisoners which means they have not yet been pronounced guilty\n by a court of law.<\/li><li>Among states,the highest percentage of\n undertrial prisoners was in Meghalaya while the lowest was in\n Mizoram.Among Union Territories, the highest was in Dadra and Nagar Haveli\n while the lowest was in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.<\/li><li>The actual capacity of the prisons has\n increased by 6.8% during the year 2015-2017.<\/li><li>However,the nationwide occupancy rate in\n jails at the end of 2017 was 115.1%.Uttar Pradesh prisons are the most\n crowded followed by Chhattisgarh and Delhi.<\/li><li>The number of deaths in prisons has\n increased marginally by 5.49% in 2017 when compared to 2015.<\/li><li>The vacant posts in the jail\n administration constitute wealth in terms of the numbers of millionaires and billionaires\n and the proportion of wealth that they hold as well as the status of\n inequality around the world.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Definition of\nWealth:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Wealth is defined in terms of net worth of\n an individual.It is calculated by adding up the value of financial assets\n (such as money) and real assets (such as houses) and then subtracting any\n debts an individual may have.<\/li><li>According to the report, the drivers of\n the wealth are (a)Size of population (b)Savings behaviour and (c)levels of\n economic activity.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key findings of the\nreport:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>China has overtaken the United States this\n year to become the country with most people in the top 10% of global\n wealth distribution.<\/li><li>The report has found that just 47 million\n people which accounts for 0.9% of the world\u2019s adult population owns $158.3\n trillion which is almost 44% of the world\u2019s total wealth.<\/li><li>On the other hand, 2.88 billion people accounting\n for almost 57% of the world\u2019s adult population owns just $6.3 trillion or\n 1.8% of the world\u2019s wealth.<\/li><li>The women\u2019s wealth has also grown relative\n to that of men in most countries due to rising female labor force\n participation, more equal division of wealth between spouses and other\n factors.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Report on India:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The total wealth in India has increased\n fourfold between 2000 and 2019, reaching $12.6 trillion in 2019.<\/li><li>India ranks fifth globally in terms of the\n number of ultra-high-net-worth individuals.<\/li><li>The report has said that 78% of India\u2019s\n adult population has wealth below $10,000 while 1.8% of India\u2019s population\n has more than $100,000.
