organisation\nwhich provides ranking to various countries in terms of the risk of bribery\ncompanies face in doing business in those countries.<\/li><li>The Matrix evaluates 200 countries\ncountries under four parameters which are (a) business interaction with the\ngovernment (b) anti-bribery deterrence (c) transparency and (d) civil society\noversight.<\/li><li>Trace provides a score from 1 to\n100 to each country for each domain.If a country gets a higher score it means\nit is at a higher risk of business bribery.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key\ntakeaways from the matrix:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>New Zealand was ranked 1st\nfollowed by Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland.<\/li><li>India has been placed in a better\nposition than neighbouring China.India is ranked 78th place with a total risk\nscore of 48.<\/li><li>Bangladesh has the highest\nbusiness bribery risk among South Asian countries.It has been placed at 178\nposition among 200 countries.<\/li><li>On the other hand,Bhutan has the\nleast risk of bribery among South Asian countries as it is placed at 52 in the\nranking.<\/li><li>Afghanistan(168) and Pakistan\n(153) India\nStandards (BIS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About\nthe report:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The samples of drinking water were\ntested as per Indian Standard 10500:2012 (Specification for Drinking Water) as\nset by the Bureau of India Standards (BIS).<\/li><li>The tests were conducted on\nvarious parameters such as Organoleptic and Physical Tests, Chemical test,\nToxic substances and Bacteriological tests.<\/li><li>This study was conducted as per\ndirections of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs to check the quality of piped\ndrinking water being supplied in the country in keeping with the objectives of\nthe Jal Jeevan Mission.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key\ntakeaways from the report:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A vast majority of the samples\nhave failed to comply with the requirements in one or more parameters.<\/li><li>In Delhi,all the 11 samples drawn\nfrom various places did not comply with the requirements of the Indian Standard\n&amp; failed on several parameters.<\/li><li>The city of Mumbai was ranked\nfirst in the list of Indian
