Download Paper -1 of prelims 2020<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n UPSC Prelims examination, 2020 became a tug of war between COVID-19 and UPSC. Initially, COVID managed to postpone the examination date to October 4, 2020, from the originally scheduled date of May 31st, 2020. But in September, UPSC decided to stick to the schedule, despite resistance (Appeals in SC for postponement), due to increasing numbers of COVID positive cases in the country.<\/p>\n Around a million candidates applied for the exam this year, conducted at 2569 centres across 72 cities in the country. The lower presence of candidates is expected due to the pandemic and transportation-related issues.<\/p>\n Finally, UPSC has conducted the IAS Prelims Examination, 2020.
