UPSC Mains 2020 timetable<\/h3>\n

UPSC has just released the timetable for the Mains 2020 examination. UPSC has provided a 5 days break between GS and Optional Papers.<\/p>\n

As usual, UPSC Mains, 2020 will be started with the Essay and end with the optional papers.<\/p>\n

UPSC Mains Examination Marks scheme<\/strong><\/h3>\n

UPSC Main examination is a written exam that tests the skills like analytical ability, Memory, and recall power, of the candidates.<\/p>\n

The written examination will consist of the following papers:\u2014<\/p>\n

Qualifying Papers:<\/h5>\n

Paper-A: 300 Marks
\n(One of the Indian Language to be selected by the candidate from the languages included in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution).<\/p>\n

Paper-B: English 300 Marks<\/p>\n

Papers to be counted for merit (Counted in total marks)<\/h5>\n

Paper-I: Essay – 250 Marks<\/strong><\/p>\n

Paper-II: General Studies-I – 250 Marks<\/strong><\/p>\n

(Indian Heritage and Culture, History, and Geography of the World and Society)<\/em><\/p>\n

Paper-III: General Studies -II – 250 Marks<\/strong><\/p>\n

(Governance, Constitution, Polity, Social Justice and International relations)<\/em><\/p>\n

Paper-IV: General Studies -III – 250 Marks<\/strong><\/p>\n

(Technology, Economic Development, Bio-diversity, Environment, Security<\/em>
\nand Disaster Management)<\/em><\/p>\n

Paper-V: General Studies -IV – 250 Marks<\/strong><\/p>\n

(Ethics, Integrity, and Aptitude)<\/em><\/p>\n

Paper-VI: Optional Subject<\/em> – Paper 1 – 250 Marks<\/strong><\/p>\n

Paper-VII: Optional Subject<\/em> – Paper 2 – 250 Marks<\/strong><\/p>\n
