{"id":69567,"date":"2020-11-12T20:23:41","date_gmt":"2020-11-12T14:53:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=69567"},"modified":"2021-04-27T15:44:32","modified_gmt":"2021-04-27T10:14:32","slug":"production-linked-incentivepli-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/production-linked-incentivepli-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"Production-Linked Incentive(PLI) Scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister has given its approval to introduce the Production-Linked Incentive(PLI) Scheme for 10 key sectors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Aim:\u00a0<\/strong>To help encourage domestic manufacturing, reduce imports, and generate employment.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Features:\u00a0<\/strong>Under the Scheme, companies will get incentives on incremental sales from products manufactured in domestic units.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Implementation:\u00a0<\/strong>The scheme will be implemented by the concerned ministries\/departments.<\/li>\n<li><strong>10 Key Sectors (and Implementing Ministry\/Department):<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Advance Chemistry Cell (ACC) Battery: NITI Aayog and Department of Heavy Industries.<\/li>\n<li>Electronic\/Technology Products: Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology<\/li>\n<li>Automobiles &amp; Auto Components: Department of Heavy Industries.<\/li>\n<li>Pharmaceuticals drugs: Department of Pharmaceuticals<\/li>\n<li>Telecom &amp; Networking Products: Department of Telecom<\/li>\n<li>Textile Products (MMF segment and technical textiles): Ministry of Textiles<\/li>\n<li>Food Products: Ministry of Food Processing Industries.<\/li>\n<li>High Efficiency Solar PV Modules: Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.<\/li>\n<li>White Goods (ACs &amp; LED): Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade.<\/li>\n<li>Speciality Steel: Ministry of Steel.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Note<\/strong>: The above sectors will be in addition to the already notified PLI schemes in the following sectors:\n<ul>\n<li>Mobile Manufacturing and Specified Electronic Components: Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeiTY).<\/li>\n<li>Critical Drug Intermediaries, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients and Manufacturing of Medical Devices: Department of Pharmaceuticals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister has given its approval to introduce the Production-Linked Incentive(PLI) Scheme for 10 key sectors.
