{"id":73939,"date":"2020-12-21T11:02:38","date_gmt":"2020-12-21T05:32:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=73939"},"modified":"2020-12-24T16:25:03","modified_gmt":"2020-12-24T10:55:03","slug":"north-eastern-region-power-system-improvement-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/north-eastern-region-power-system-improvement-project\/","title":{"rendered":"North Eastern Region Power System Improvement Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=1681053\">PIB<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>News:<\/strong>\u00a0Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the Revised Cost Estimate (RCE) for the North Eastern Region Power System Improvement Project (NERPSIP).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>NERPSIP Scheme<\/strong>: The Scheme was initially approved in 2014 as a Central Sector Plan Scheme of the Ministry of Power.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Funding:\u00a0<\/strong>The scheme is being funded with the assistance of the World Bank fund and by the Government of India through the Budget support of the Ministry of Power on a 50:50 basis.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Objective:\u00a0<\/strong>Government\u2019s commitment for the total economic development of the North Eastern Region and to strengthen the Intra-State Transmission &amp; Distribution Infrastructure in the North East Region.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Implementation<\/strong>: The scheme is being implemented through Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Beneficiary States:\u00a0<\/strong>Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura and is targeted to be commissioned by December 2021.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: PIB News:\u00a0Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the Revised Cost Estimate (RCE) for the North Eastern Region Power System Improvement Project (NERPSIP).
