{"id":77051,"date":"2021-01-16T13:39:54","date_gmt":"2021-01-16T08:09:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=77051"},"modified":"2021-01-16T19:45:40","modified_gmt":"2021-01-16T14:15:40","slug":"usttad-scheme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/usttad-scheme\/","title":{"rendered":"USTTAD (Upgrading the Skills &#038; Training in Traditional Arts\/Crafts for Development) scheme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Facts:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>USTTAD Scheme:\u00a0<\/strong>The scheme was launched in 2015 by the Ministry of Minority Affairs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Aim:\u00a0<\/strong>To upgrade the capacity building and traditional skills of master craftsmen and artisans.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Objectives:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Capacity building and upgrading of the traditional skills of master craftsmen and artisans;<\/li>\n<li>Documentation of identified traditional arts\/crafts of minorities;<\/li>\n<li>Set standards of traditional skills;<\/li>\n<li>Training of minority youths in various identified traditional arts\/crafts through master craftsmen;<\/li>\n<li>Develop national and international market linkages; and<\/li>\n<li>Preservation of languishing Arts\/Crafts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Knowledge Partners:\u00a0<\/strong>To support Ministry and the Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) with technical inputs for capacity building of master craftsmen\/artisan and upgrading their traditional skills, following knowledge partners will be involved by the Ministry:\n<ul>\n<li>National Institute of Fashion Technology.<\/li>\n<li>Sectoral Export Promotion Councils.<\/li>\n<li>Other expert agencies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Components of the scheme:\u00a0<\/strong>The scheme has following programmes:\n<ul>\n<li>Up-gradation of Skills and Training in Traditional Arts\/Crafts through Institutions.<\/li>\n<li>USTAD Apprenticeship stipend for Research and Development.<\/li>\n<li>Support to Craft museum for curating traditional arts\/ crafts.<\/li>\n<li>Support to minority craftsmen\/artisans through Hunar Haat and Shilp Utsav for marketing their products through exhibitions throughout the country and abroad.<\/li>\n<li>Recognition of talented Master Craftsmen &amp; Artisans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pib.nic.in\/PressReleseDetailm.aspx?PRID=1607147\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Article Source<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Facts: USTTAD Scheme:\u00a0The scheme was launched in 2015 by the Ministry of Minority Affairs.
